very good gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.was looking for gaming laptop right now, and best buy had this and after looking a few others this was really one of better ones for the features and price. only downside is the heat this thing puts when playing a game. but thats really an issue with nearly all gaming laptops with higher spec parts.

Great gaming laptop for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven’t had any issues with this laptop. I’ve thrown a few games at it on max setting just to test everything out and it runs every one of them without fail. Including games like Witcher 3, Fallout 4, and Ark. If you’re looking for a gaming laptop on a limited budget, this would definitely be one to consider.

Working great!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out of the box, working great! Son loves it, can play all his games at good frame rates. Doubled the memory to 16gb and it flys. Gonna add a SATA III 512gb SSD drive for more storage and he’s set. $699 was a killer price. Haven’t seen it that low since then lately. No problems at all yet

So far so good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this laptop for a few months now. Works pretty well. I would recommend getting a cooling pad. It runs a little toasty. You can download Dell's power manager or whatever to adjust the internal fans cooling. It runs everything from Gta 5 to Pubg to the new call of duty. I love it.

Great Laptop for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before purchasing I was unsure of how it would perform running games. After setting it up, which was very fast, the FPS was great. Compared to an Xbox which maxes out at 60 FPS, this laptop gets around 150+ on most of the games I play. Only thing you should consider is the noise this laptop makes before buying. If you are looking for a quiet gaming laptop for a quiet environment I would recommend you check out other options but if not this is a great laptop. The 1660Ti makes this definitely worth the $999.99.

A solid gaming laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: Great graphics/framerate on games Has an HDMI port to connect to an external monitor/TV Dedicated system performance key (f7) CONS: Heavy (over 5lbs) Needs to be plugged in to play intense games Keyboard backlight doesn’t stay on Solid-State drive only has 458GB free space Get hot quickly Noisy cooling fan After a quick system setup, I immediately tested the popular Fortnite game to check out the graphics and framerate quality. Upon bootup of the game, it recommended the ‘epic’ settings based on PC performance. Right from the start, the framerate was very choppy and unplayable. I had to set it to ‘medium’ all-around just to keep the framerate operable. I was trying to figure out why an expensive gaming laptop was not able to handle Fortnite on ‘epic’. I soon realized that it was not plugged in and finally learned that a powerful gaming laptop needs the external power source to run intense games. Once plugged in, ‘epic’ worked and looked flawless to me. So keep this in mind that although it is a laptop to bring anywhere, you will need the power cord when gaming. I normally game on a desktop so I didn’t realize this is a known thing among hardcore laptop gamers. The keyboard has a dedicated G performance key (f7) that should increase the cooling fan speed and enhance the system/graphics performance during gaming. Onto some negative points, it is a heavy laptop that gets hot quickly and also the fan is quite noisy, which sometimes drowns out audio if not turned up enough. The solid-state drive is rated at 512GB, leaving you with 458GB to work with. This may fill up quickly for those that like to store a lot of games. I also am not a fan of the keyboard light turning off after about 7 seconds of inactivity. I would like if manufacturers allowed for an option to keep it on and to change it to something other than the single color (blue for G3). Although I list quite a few negative aspects, I still think this is a solid gaming laptop. Some of the cons could be considered just nitpicking so they may not affect most users.

Near perfect for beginner/entry level
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, this laptop is perfect for someone just starting out in PC gaming. As someone who has a high end desktop with incredible specs, this doesn't necessarily do for me what I would l need. I'm actually going to be taking it back and upgrading, but that does not mean this should be taken as a negative review by any means. If you're in the market for a gaming laptop, don't want to spend a fortune for peripherals, and just casually want to play, this is the one for you.

Fantastic Computer
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this computer for a few weeks now and I think it's safe to say I LOVE it. I upgraded my hard drive, RAM, network card, and soon my screen. But it's a powerhouse. All the games I've gotten play beautifully and they are all new AAA titles. This was an awesome deal.

Great performance at an even greater price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dell G3 gaming laptop gives you all you need to get great gaming on the go. In the box you get the laptop of course, power adapter, and manual. Set up is easy as usual with Windows 10. The build quality is great despite the plastic. It does not however feel cheap. Its very solid with a strong hinge and has a nice feel to the coating. The screen is very nice and doesnt bend. The display is 1080p and 60Hz which for me is perfect for a laptop. I can hardly tell the difference between 1080p and 4k on smaller screens anyway, so this was just right. Its not the brightest display but works perfect unless you are directly facing a bright light or the sun. 60Hz is perfect for all the games I played. And I never noticed any delay, lag, or anything of the sort. It also has HDMI out which when connected to my Samsung Q6 looked amazing. The keyboard works well overall and is backlit which I have grown to actually want for all my keyboards. Good feedback and was able to type just as fast as my favorite wireless keyboard. It has a full numeric pad as well. Performance is outstanding considering its cost. It has a 512gb SSD with very fast startup time. All of the standard PC things such as browsers, email, videos, etc. all work very fast and fluid. No issues at all there. But of course being a gaming laptop thats what its all about and it does not dissappoint. Gaming is excellent, fast, fluid, and has great performance. Like I said before its only 1080p but its so hard to tell the difference to me, so spending more for a 4k display just isnt worth it until you get to larger screens. The fans do get a bit loud but I always use headphones so this doesnt bother me too much. Id rather have loud fans keeping it cool then it overheating. Battery life is pretty good and with normal use I got about 3-4 hours. So to sum it all up you get an excellent gaming laptop without emptying you wallet. It has just the right specs to perform great without adding to the cost so much that it gets too expensive. The 1080p 60Hz display looks and performs great. And for all the normal (non gaming) PC stuff it has you covered. If you are looking at getting into laptop gaming, or already are and just want a great performing laptop at an even greater price this is a great option.

A very good laptop for the money.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great laptop for the money! Fast and we’ve had no problems with it. Great video and good for gaming. Our high speed WiFi can’t keep up with this computer. Hook up to Ethernet and you’ve got a speed burner. Love the backlit keyboard! Overall a great buy!

I'll need a heavier casing next time.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good function, but you would want a heavier model for moving around. I travel internationally, and this laptop and the overhead luggage bin do not get along well. I hear a slight cracking when I open and close it, after one years' auto travel and commercial flying. Do you make a model with a heavier casing? Conditional recommendation depending on use and travel requirements

Good laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am an engineering student and I love this laptop. Really good laptop for gaming or engineering. The only thing is the laptop can be easily broken so much handle very carefully I recommend getting the warranty. Also Battery life only really lasts me like 4 hrs so I wish it would last more.

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best laptop I have owned. I love playing Sims 4.
