This is a solid, sturdy machine that handles the tasks I have for it, namely, software development and graphics editing. I don't really like the keyboard or trackpad when compared to a MacBook, but its far better than most Windows based laptops I tried.

We use this laptop for Radiologists that their software uses a lot of resources and this laptop runs these applications with ease. The SSD that it comes with is a must for modern laptops. I recommend uninstalling all unnecessary software that in comes with.

Dell has completely uplifted its gaming series with G7. The laptop look and feel is great. It is great for gaming and other high-end processing stuff too. The fan does make lot of noise when clocking at highest frequency, but that is understandable.

This laptop exceeded my expectations. It could run oculus butter smooth on high to medium settings. If you ran games on ultra you would notice some frames dropping. Overall this is a great entry level gaming laptop which gives you a lot of bang for your buck.

Got a good deal with student coupon as well as weekend sale. This may be the best gaming laptop you can buy for its price. I was lucky to get a overclockable panel As well. I play games like Overwatch and vermentide 2 on high to ultra settings . Can get 100fps plus

after playing a few games (The Golf Club 2019, Devil May Cry & Diablo III) I have to say I'm quite disapointed in the performance. I returned 2 ASUS ROG computers (due to issues with it turning off randomly and the 2nd time one of the hard drives quite working), to exchange it for this computer. both computers have the same exact specs I believe but the ASUS definitely ran games smoother. There's not much of it...but the G7 definitely "skips" while playing any of these 3 games that I've played on this machine, whereas the ASUS did not. It also does get pretty hot just after playing for about 4-5 minutes. other than these 2 issues...Its a very nice machine.

My wife needed an upgrade for her laptop for work. She does a lot of video editing and always has multiple windows open at once. This laptop was perfect for her needs, much faster than her other one, and easily runs multiple windows with video.

This computer is listed for games, however after explaining to the sales person what I needed in a laptop, he recommended the same laptop that I had previously picked out as buying....128 GB Solid-state drive + 1 TB hard drive should be plenty storage.

I am a little hesitant at buying a laptop. I have had nothing but issues in the past with them and prefer to build PCs or buy Macs. This was a pleasant surprise. It boots fast, has a great display, and plenty of power. I had to delete a lot of Bloatwear to begin with, which I advise everyone to do, as well as turn off auto updates in the window store. This allows me to ensure it runs the way I want. I did notice one big issue. The download speeds were terrible on it. I get 250 down and it was giving me 30. After looking around a bit and a failed call with Dell that resulted in no help, I found a source on a software installed on the computer called SmartByte. It is supposed to better manage your speeds accordingly, but it is horrible. I deleted it and boom, my speeds were great. Overall, I am very impressed in the end with the power of this laptop.

I’ve always used a work laptop to work from home and decided to go this route. I’m surprised how fast it works and how much work I can accomplish. Adobe pro and photos whiz right through when using it. Great buy even for the non gamers.

I know there are faster processors, but overall its hard to beat an I7. It just always works, very little difficulties if any and is pretty darn fast for light gaming, and normal everyday use. I'd choose this every time when offered right now.

Great, I mean…. Unfortunately It’s intel inside…. So loud FANs even with little workload or cpu use. But my oldest laptop was from 2013 and I needed better graphics as well.

Bought this for a family member; performance is great for what is needed, the 1060 still does modern titles very well. Saved over $600 on a comparable Alienware with same specs. So if you don’t need the color LEDs this is a great buy.

This is a great laptop with the best price. I was thinking of buying alienware and ended up buying this laptop. This has 6 core which helps me to run several VMs at the same time without any issues. I am not using it for gaming purposes as of now.

Gtx 1060 max q will be able to handle 1080p gaming at high settings, screen is ok, big bezel though. Easy to open the back compartment to upgrade ram or hdd. Pick the small ssd configurations and drop in 2.5in hdd for bulk storage

Great laptop for overall. Fast enough for school, work, or gaming. This laptop can do it all and easy to do maintenance on. The bottom panel comes off with one screw giving easy access to all the major components. I would buy again.

this laptop was originally for gaming which it did extremely well at,but i have also used it for work and Photoshop and rendering videos and it works stupendous at this also. overall it is a great laptop to have.

I got this laptop to make YouTube videos and it works excellently for this application. I want to say that games on this run excellently and I can capture them, I'm glad I got this one.

This laptop really has everything you would need for power/perfomance and at a great value. I had originally purchased a Razer Blade 15 but this laptop is just as good in my opinion just without the super nice quality frame to sit in.

Bought for my son-in-law who dabbles in gaming. He appears to be quite pleased with the speed of this machine and the quick start-up. Not going to go into further details as I haven't actually used the machine. Play on!
