It has a clear screen that is vibrant enough when plugged in. The processor is very slow, but for a teenager checking email and social media, it will do great for the very low price.

Good enough for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a cheap laptop to install a small Linux distro (Lubuntu). Turns out the GPU cannot handle the xfce desktop environment (once of the lightest out-of-the-box x.org desktops). I tried multiple options to circumvent the issue. I eventually downgraded to Lubuntu v. 12.10 because the screen didn’t flicker on it. Problem is, the Linux kernel in Lubuntu 12 doesn’t recognize the wireless card, and there is no Ethernet port to connect to the internet. Atheros doesn’t release drivers for Linux either, so my options are to either deal with an annoying screen flicker (like a strobe light) or to not have internet access (which would ultimately defeat the purpose of the device). I got what I paid for, I suppose. Also, thanks for the free Microsoft Office subscription: I was out of toilet paper.
