I bought it to supplement, and eventually replace a 9 yr old Win 7 notebook. Although this machine does not have an ethernet port or 5 Ghz WiFi, it does have USB 3.0 . Although it only has 32 GB eMMC storage, I haven't had problems updating Win 10 or the BIOS. DELL also provides detailed downloadable user and service manuals.

It turns out he was right. On the bright side, it came with a year of Microsoft office, which saved me $75

Thanks for your review. If you'd like to see if there are ways for your computer to perform faster, we'd recommend running the Windows Performance Troubleshooter:
1. Close all open windows.
2. Press the Windows logo key + X key on the keyboard.
3. Click Control Panel.
4. Click System and Security.
5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems.
6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process.
8. Restart the PC.

OK performance, ridiculously small HD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my 6-year-old daughter, and the performance is decent for the money but the issue is the hard drive is ridiculously small. For someone just using it for email and/or light internet, it's probably fine. But doing anything more than that will leave you running out of space very quickly, especially after all the unnecessary bloatware. Even with everything removed, the best i could get was about 6gb free which is terrifyingly low. The biggest issue with this is there isn't even enough space with all the bloatware removed and nothing else for it to update Windows properly which is unacceptable. It's going back and I'll get something for her with a little more space, even if it costs a bit more.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Finally, after my third attemp to get a laptop that's easy to set up, fast enough to get things done like drafting a proposal, replying email, preparing quick and simple paperwork and spreadsheet, web browsing, online research and stream online music and videos and the same time, I finally feel that this is the best purchase for light usage for the kind of work that I do. Updates and syncing that run behind shouldn't slow the system down and this computer may have small internal storage size but, get all the updates done and over with as soon as you first set up the PC.. This particular unit provided an easy set and user-friendly interface, so straightforward. The moment I saw the packaging box, I had the impression it's going to make me happy. It says nothing much but it has proven enough its performance and quality.

It worked well for that. I'm not a PC-DOS user, so I use it sparingly mostly since I'm not that agile at using Windows. It was an open box item and was not that expensive, which for my purpose was good.
