    Not worth it

I bought this laptop as a Acer C720 Chromebook replacement and to learn Windows 10 as my customers have started to use. And I am not switching my main computers from Windows7 I needed/wanted to replace my Chromebook that I use for short trips to get mail, Facebook (wife) and check some sites, the Acer screen is not the best and it has a narrow view angle. I saw the Dell at a store and the price during the 50 year anniversary sale was very good. I checked the screen and it looked good Well, in battery mode the Dell is just too slow to boot and to access websites. I attribute this to the bloated Windows10. In AC mode it is a bit better. I tried loading a couple of tabs in Google Chrome and the Dell has problems loading them, in some cases just loading one was slow (battery mode). I think once I learn Windows 10, I'll load up Ubuntu and Chromium to get a "Chromebook" like. As a tool to learn Windows 10 it is ok (AC Mode), It came with Office365 for a year and a couple of other apps. Overall I am not too happy with this product but at the price I bought it, It was a toy to play.

Nice netbook that has issue staying connected

I bought this to replace my old netbook that still works but its over 7 yrs old. It fast and efficient . However it does have issues. Due to its lightweight and thinness it only has 2 usb ports I admit I did not see that on the specs when ordering. Also it has issues staying connected. I originally thought it was my home network but it doesn't stay connected under any network. If you only use it briefly or for travel its fine but for uses such as work, or long term browsing it will lose connection.

I primarily love it because it is light and I can take with me anywhere! I also like the Cortana feature which allows me to speak into the search bar. Also being able to connect my phone and loading my pictures and videos is amazing! I would highly recommend purchasing this product especially for the price.

    Good for normal word processing

I bought this so that I would have something to use the office suite on. It deff does the job and works well. It starts up very fast and loads quickly. This is not for someone that wants to play games. It barely runs solitaire lol. Also it comes with a 32gb flash memory but I expanded it with a 64gb micro SD card. My only real complaint is that it will not run YouTube. Firefox won't run it. Internet Explorer won't. And neither will the new edge browser. Downloaded Adobe flash and all that good stuff and it just locks up and crashes. Weirdest thing.

Under Powered, but OK for Web Surfing

This computers big problem is the CPU is always running at 100 percent to keep up. I deleted the virus scan and all the Dell add on programs and that helped. I then shut off all the live tiles. My wife says "Words With Friends" works faster on her Kindle Fire than on this computer. The trade off for being under powered is it has very long battery life and it runs very cool. I would recommend a Chromebook over this computer unless you absolutely have to run a Windows application.

Tried writing this on the Dell Inspiron 11.6 but it's so slow I had to switch to a different machine. Not really a laptop, it's actually a NetBook with solid state memory. This device might be okay for a child or if you never use software other than what comes pre-installed but if you need to load anything you'll see storage disappear quickly. The microSD expansion helps but only for file storage. You cannot install programs there. The device itself feels flimsy and cheap. Start up time with Windows 10 is absurdly slow for a solid state device. I really wanted to like the Dell Inspiron 11.6 and hoped to use it as a lightweight portable but I cannot recommend it and wish now I had done more research before purchase.

Bought a 1/2 price 50th Annv Sale - NOT WORTH IT

I bought this during the BB 50th Annv Sale for 1/2 price..... It arrived while I was on travel so I didn't open it up for a few weeks--- this thing is barely good for anything other than a paper weight JUST TURNING IN ON AT FACTORY SETTINGS, NOTHING ADDED OR DOWNLOADED - The cpu is at 99-100% capacity from the get go, continuously. Went online to find some answers, tried to tweak it (shut off opening apps etc) IT IS A DINOSAUR. TOO FRUSTRATING TO EVEN POWER UP ANY MORE. It reminds me on being on the internet in 1995, I would open an email and go make a sandwich while it opened. THIS ISN'T EVEN AS " FAST",,,,,,,,,,,,,, 1995 was faster Unfortunately, I let too much time expire to return it. MY BAD.

    Perfect Single Use Laptop

I bought this laptop strictly to manage my finances, so the 2GB RAM is more than sufficient. I run Quicken and a Fujitsu Scanner attached to scan in my paid bills. No issues handling these tasks whatsoever. I was aware when I purchased, but very minimal storage capacity. The good news is that it can be expanded via micro SD and of course a removable HDD. Mouse takes a little getting used to, but well worth the price!

This computer is one at its simplest form. I bought it to go back to school online and it doesn't suit me. It is slow. Does not run multiple tasks at once very well. I've had my mouse freeze frequently. Returning it to get a better, higher, faster running laptop.

    Too Slow

Got it because it was small and very portable. Was told by Best Buy staff member that it would be just as fast as a regular laptop since I just wanted it for Facebook and email when traveling. Now, don't get me wrong. I didn't expect the performance of a $400+ laptop, but wow! This is by far the slowest piece of junk I've seen in a long time. It took at least a minute for the browser to launch, and another 30 secs to a minute just for the Google start page to finish downloading. Once on Facebook, it scrolled like my broadband connection was more like dial up. Totally useless, returning it tomorrow.

Liked it for a few hours but the keypad's TERRIBLE

I liked the smallness of it...but I guess you get what you pay for as this thing, while typing, will change font size constantly...going from larger to teeny tiny...then the keypad is so touchy it goes off the rails or doesn't work at all. I do a lot of writing and it was driving me crazy trying to get one page typed with this poor spec changing every couple of seconds. I ended up paying a LOT more and ordering my first MAC laptop. I wanted small...got the Macbook 12" am hoping this will NOT be an issue(it better not be for that price!!), as if you like to write a lot, having a touchy keypad will NOT do. Hoping I can sell my Dell now. If you're just surfing and using for emails, it's fine....but not for any extensive writing.

I purchased this computer for my real estate business and love how effective it is in handling my needs for completing paperwork, but more importantly the effect it has when I use the table feature to show presentations to potential clients. Great computer to own.

    Overpriced Low Performance

Too much for poor specs. 2MB ram,,,,says poor things about Dell. For $4 more it could have been 4MB. Why have obsolete specs and hardware...why include USB when it could have been USB 3 for about $1 more.....and poor battery life..... for $30 more get a 6-8 laptop with decent specs and performance and battery life.

I wanted something light and simple to email on and just surf the web that I could throw in my tote. I didn't want to carry my bigger laptop around so this does exactly what I need it to. Great for beginners or kids... or those who just need something they can toss in their tote and use quickly!
