Perhaps you can try something that some of our other users have done to speed up their laptops. If there is any pre-installed software on your computer that you do not plan to use you can remove it. She is in elementary school and they require some online work through sites like ExtraMath, iStation and iReady for homework. This computer has worked out so well, that we bought a second one for travel purposes.

I just don't like the computer that I purchased. The cursor is so sensitive that the arrow seems to hop all over the place. My daughter bought a mouse and it seems better. There are a million pop-ups and Alert messages. I feel as if I am harassed all the time that something is either no longer available. The microphone doesn't always work properly. I didn't return it because I put information on it already so I just consider this a very bad purchase. All in all I am just disappointed in purchase. I feel as if it was on Sale because it was just a "dud" model and people wanted to move them along. Don't waste your time or money...get a computer with a larger screen...mine is only about 11 inches and it seems to zoom in and out without me making that decision.....just an awful decision to purchase this....soooo disappointed.

This one stopped working altogether after a while.
