    This was a good deal on an open box purchase. It was missing the power cord and I purchased it through Dell. The manager and Charles were helpful and knowledgeable.

    I got this as an open box for an incredible price. It is blazing fast and the 4K screen is beautiful. In addition it is light and compact. I highly recommend this product

      Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear about the WIFI concerns that you're having. Here are some steps to troubleshoot your connectivity:

      1. Download and install the latest Wireless Card driver. (https://dell.to/2th3Tpe) After updating the driver, re-establish the connection with the Wireless Access Point and check the wireless performance.
      2. If the issue persists, proceed to step 3.
      3. Power-cycle the local network. Shut down the Dell system, the Wireless Access Point/Router and the Modem. Wait a minimum of 60 seconds before powering up the components in the following order:
      4. Power ON the Modem, and wait for it to boot fully.
      5. Power ON the Wireless Access Point/Router, and wait for it to boot fully.
      6. Power ON the Dell system.
      7. Open Network and Sharing Center
      8. In the left side navigation pane, click on Change Adapter Settings
      9. Right click on the wireless connection icon and select Properties followed by the Configure button
      10. Under Wireless Options, select the Wireless N mode
      11. For Windows 8 or later systems click the Advanced tab and look for 802.11n Mode on the right you will be given the option to Enable or Disable. If the mode is not visible you may need to update your drivers and firmware.
      12. From the drop-down menu, choose Disable followed by Ok
      13. This should restore the wireless download and upload speed. Internet speed can be tested at http://speedtest.net.

    Without doing anything, the screen crack in 3 weeks, first small line, then the line increased to 5 cm in 5 hours.

    This is an okay device but for the price, it can’t handle too many a bit demanding apps that even an iPad can handle.

      1. Close all open windows.
      2. Press the Windows logo key + X key on the keyboard.
      3. Click Control Panel.
      4. Click System and Security.
      5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems.
      6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.
      7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process.
      8. Restart the PC.

    I am used to silent laptops, those that dont have a loud fan. This laptop's noise was so loud that it didnt seem right. Even thought I spent a lot of time with remote tech troubleshooting and even had a technician visit and replace fan, it still seemed very loud. I am happy now with my Microsoft Surface Pro which has no fan.

    Bought this laptop from Bestbuy in June, 2020. A couple weeks later, the laptop popped up a screen that the battery was almost dead - despite the fact that it was plugged in to AC. This has now happened several times, and the battery frequently gets very hot to a level that I'm worried about a fire.

      We're sorry to hear about the issues that you're having withy your new computer. Here are some tips to help it run at a cooler temperature:

      Tips for Proper Usage:

      1. Dell does not recommend placing portable systems directly on your lap. Due to reductions in the thickness of modern portable systems, heat transfer can be an issue.
      2. Using a portable system (Laptop) on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface will increase airflow and reduce heat from underneath and inside the system.
      Using the portable system on a blanket, pillow, or other types of cloth will cover up the fan cause the computer to overheat and can cause permanent damage.
      3. It is recommended to use the portable system in a Room temperature of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) with a Humidity level no greater than 90%.
      4. Use compressed air to clean the vents on a regular basis.
      5. Using a cooling pad can decrease heat and increase performance.
      6. If you want to know the temperature limitations for your system, go to the Dell Support Website, look up your system model then open the user guide under the manuals link.

    I usually don't write reviews but I am compelled to write one this time. My purchase did not include dell pen and I called support who pointed me to the overview and asked me to read what's included section of overview and he was right dell pen was not there. So the purchase does not come with Dell Pen. Second I purchased Open-Box Satisfactory so when the system booted it greeted me with saying the windows key is not included so can not activate windows. Oh well, you get what you pay.

    I have had this less than a year and the webcam and mircophone are both bad. I am told I would have to pay to have them fixed, when the laptop isn't even a year old. I am definitely disappointed. I like to laptop other than those two things breaking. It makes it harder because I need both to do my classes.
