Even with the back lighting, this is difficult to use unless it's dark. The larger screen model is brown, which is plain ugly. Try again Dell!

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this new laptops look very good but every one of them (no matter what brand) are a problem in display performance, the adaptive brightness is very annoying and after reading a lot of blogs and reviews I can see that nobody knows how to fix it, I've returned a Samsung Galaxy Book for this reason and this Dell has the same issue is just that Samsung displays are more bright so the problem is actually worse there. watching a video you can also see the brightness going up and down all the time, is very uncomfortable. In order to save a lot of battery some time while the display is off the network also get disconnected so I miss notifications, at the end this is a device for kids, nothing professional, I don't think that some professional designer can actually work with this device or any business can relay on it for important work. Too bad for such a beautiful and fast machine. The only way this can worth the price is plugin a display on it and a wireless keyboard and mouse and closing it for good.

1. Press and hold the Windows (Windows Button) key, and then press the q key.
2. In the Search box type, settings.
3. In the search results list, touch, or click Settings (App).
4. Touch or click System.
5. On the Display screen, find the Adjust my screen brightness automatically option. 6. Touch or click the slider to toggle the option on or off.
7. Touch or click Apply.

Saying that, i really like how easy this laptop is to use and even easier setup. Its fast and the screen is bright. i really like the lighted keys. would have gave it 5 stars but i opened the box 1 month after i bought it and it came with a bad battery, and the return date was past.

So far i'm very happy with my purchase having now about 4 weeks. My old one is back from repair now. Shipping was an issue, but got to expect this at this time. Over all I'm very happy with my purchase of the Dell P124G.

Best Buy was super helpful when I called about picking it up. The feel of the construction looks really good. Unfortunately, there are a few downsides such as when it wakes up from sleep, it for some reason it appears that it is actually waking up from hibernation in that the quick awaken doesn’t always work. Also the fingerprint sensor is a little moody. Otherwise awesome.
