The Dell Inspiron 15 Touch Screen Laptop with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD in Carbon Black offers a solid balance of performance and features for everyday use. **Design and Build:** The laptop features a sleek, carbon black chassis that gives it a modern, professional look. The 15.6-inch touch screen is responsive and bright, making it a versatile choice for both productivity tasks and entertainment. The build feels robust, though it's slightly heavier compared to ultra-portable models. **Performance:** Equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB of RAM, the Inspiron 15 handles multitasking with ease. Whether you're running several applications simultaneously or working on more demanding tasks, the performance is generally smooth. The 512GB SSD offers quick boot times and fast access to files, contributing to an overall snappy user experience. **Display:** The 15.6-inch touch screen provides good clarity and vibrant colors, suitable for both media consumption and professional work. The touch functionality adds convenience, though it might not be as essential for everyone. **Keyboard and Trackpad:** The keyboard is comfortable with well-spaced keys and decent travel, making typing a pleasant experience. The trackpad is responsive and accurate, supporting multi-touch gestures effectively. **Battery Life:** The battery life is decent for this category of laptop, providing enough power to get through a full workday under typical usage. However, heavy users might need to recharge before the end of the day. **Ports and Connectivity:** The laptop includes a range of ports such as USB 3.0, USB-C, HDMI, and an SD card reader, ensuring compatibility with various peripherals and external devices. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are reliable, supporting smooth online and wireless operations. **Conclusion:** Overall, the Dell Inspiron 15 Touch Screen Laptop is a well-rounded option for users seeking a balance between performance, features, and affordability. It’s suitable for students, professionals, and casual users who need a reliable machine for everyday tasks. The touch screen is a nice addition, though the overall value of the laptop remains strong even without it.

I waited 2 months to write a review. So far, I am very pleased with the laptop. Fast, efficient, and decent battery life. I will update if any problems occur other than the fan getting a little loud when the laptop seems to get on the warmer side. Also, I wish I had waited 2 months, and I would have saved $50 on the purchase price of black Friday.

Bought several of these for our teachers and they have worked out very well. Small enough to carry with them but large enough to be able to see clearly! Battery life is good as well. We upgraded the team and went to Windows pro and with the sale price, we were still lower than what we could find fully configured. We use a lot of Dell machines, so it is nice to have kind of a standard on power cords and other things. Very easy to work on and upgrade.

Solid Budget Laptop With Some Issues

This is a decent laptop for the price. I got it on sale for $350 including tax. Let's start with the pros first. This little guy is pretty fast and is very good at doing basic computing tasks such as web browsing and video playback. I have had no issues with the performance of the laptop. The build quality is solid although it is made of plastic so it feels cheap. The keyboard feels pretty good and is responsive. The screen is 1080p and a touchscreen which is nice. It is pretty sharp overall and pleasant to look at. Now for the cons. The first one is that the audio quality is pretty bad, especially when using headphones. I have experienced audio popping and crackling pretty consistently and I am a musician so this is a big deal for me. The screen is sharp but some colors look washed out and blurry. I'm not sure why as it is 1080p. 8gb of ram is not enough. Thankfully, it is easy to upgrade. I noticed some big performance gains after upgrading to 16gb of ram so I highly recommend doing that. Another semi-con is the battery life as it is pretty bad, usually only lasting 3 hours or less. If you want this for basic web browsing and other light tasks, it'll be perfect for you and will do the job quickly. If you're looking for more out of your laptop, I suggest looking elsewhere.

This laptop was a great choice. I'm a MacBook user but needed something to use for work-related tasks and needed Microsoft Office, and I am not disappointed. This Dell is a great product - it's fast, lightweight, and sturdy and i love that it's touchscreen as well. Tiny point off due to no keyboard backlighting but it was a great deal for what you get.

It's an awesome laptop with a touchscreen, vibrant colors, a sharp display, a lightweight design, and great functionality. My kids love it, and my youngest is already asking for one of her own! They use it for homework and staying updated with school. Overall, I'd say it was a great investment. Thank you, Dell and Best Buy.

I’ve had this computer since april 2024 and it’s been a okay actually great experience with it ! I’ve used to fully to play and run the sims 4 with cc and mods and it’s done a great job with it BUT it’s fully nothing and wouldn’t be great without a cooling pad. I had the computer firstly for two days before I bought the cooling pad and was happier. For my simmers or beginners in sims I play with a folder of 11 gb fully with clothing and mods no furniture except for like three pieces. Trying the whole full load doesn’t let me fully play the way I would like. But it’s worth it

It took me a while to get used to however once I had everything setup that I needed for my school, (and a few games from game pass) I am happy with my purchase. The keys are easy to press. The screen is huge and bright. The sound quality is perfect. The battery lasts a good while and charges quite fast. I am just an average Mom and don't know much about computers but I am loving this computer!

It has the power and the speed that I need. I use this laptop for MS office 365, photoshop and surfing the web. The storage capacity is more than I need at the moment. This is not my main computer, this is computer for my side hustle that I’m just starting. I don’t use it if it’s not related to my side hustle. In the future I may need more storage , possibly more speed but for now this laptop is perfect! It’s pre-installed with Windows 11, I received a 30 day trial of MS Office 365 with this purchase, 30 day trial of MS Xbox games (might redeem on another computer) and 6 months of Norton security. I did think the price was higher than expected but Bidenomics got prices for everything super high. Great laptop in my opinion in comparison to others in the same price range.

Great laptop at the $380 sale price BUT ...

I've been needing a new laptop for a while. I watch the Best Buy 'Deals of the Day' and when this one showed up, I pounced on it for $380. I bought Dell because my previous primary laptop was a Dell and it lasted nearly 10 years. It's still operable albeit the keys on the keyboard are going bad one at a time. But IT is a well used keyboard so I cannot complain. It's earned its rest. This laptop is lightning fast with its SSD 'hard drive' and I5 processor. Display is fine although I do NOT use the touch screen function. I have to say that I dislike the keyboard. It is NOT acceptable to me. I can barely feel the little raised teats on the F and J keys. The keys are of a rough texture compared to the smooth feel of all my other laptops. Their operation seems "harsh" to me compared to four other laptops I've had. Anyone who types would likely find it objectionable. It's nowhere near as good as the previous Dell I used or an HP I'm using this second. This five year old laptop's F and J teats are still clearly discernible. On the new one ... I have to work at finding them. IF I could give this thing back over the keyboard issue, I would ... it's THAT bad. Further -- and it's not the fault of this laptop -- I'da traded the touch screen in for a lighted keyboard since I often type at night in the dark and need to find the specialty keys.. There is a difference in the special keys on this thing, too. It differs from my old Dell ... WHY ?? For the price, I guess I shouldn't complain but ... I'm just not happy with the keyboard feel OR function OR quality. So IF you type ... BEWARE. If you use two fingers and have to look at the keyboard ... it likely wouldn't matter. Dell missed it on THIS one. Now I'm stuck with it. It's tough to say that I would NOT recommend this thing to others since in all other ways -- aside from not liking W11 -- it's a good machine SO ... I'll say I will but it's RELUCTANTLY.
