Apparently, this is a common issue with these laptops, so heads up

Not worth it.

I purchased this laptop as a gift last year dec. 11th 2023. now just past the warranty, the mouse is acting very strange and now the screen is completely blacking out and flickering and half the screen does not have touch. I really expected more than one year out of this product from Dell.

Hinge broke in 4 months

The computer could not open without pulling the screen away from the computer. We sent it off for repairs to be considered “junk out”. Now we are on the hunt for a new computer and hope we don’t get screwed since it was Black Friday sale

Bad buy

Pathetic quality Dell laptop

Best Buy and Geek Squad both say they can't do anything to fix it, I have to contact Dell. This means I will need to ship it away and who knows how long it will be gone. Took it to 'You break, I fix' and the guy there asked if it was a broken hinge when I walked through the door. This tells me it is common which means Dell now sell crap computers with horrible quality for $350. No plans to ever buy a Dell again and not sure if I will buy from Best Buy again either as they don't care about customers in person.

Very disappointed

The operating software was very cumbersome and not user friendly. I liked the features and feel of the computer keyboard and screen. But, the software issue was a deal breaker. Laptop was returned. Also, purchased the Microsoft 365 Personal (Office Suite), not a big fan of this program either. It is not user friendly. Unfortunately, I can't return this purchase.

Bottom right hinge frozen

The hinge on the bottom right is stuck and when I open it in the morning the bezel and hinge separates. Second time this has happen. They told me it was dropped or damaged. Bullsharp. I did not drop it. Now it has happen again. The bottom right hinge is frozen and when I open it makes a cracking sound I have to squeeze it in order to open.

Dell Cares is the department that handles warranty issues. I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 about a year ago. It has a badly designed power port that breaks if you plug in the charger. NOT THE CUSTOMER'S FAULT. It is described by Dell as accidental damage a.k.a your fault. They won't replace it under the basic warranty. Buyer beware. This seems to be a problem with other customers as well looking at other reviews. Dell you need to improve. I will not be purchasing more Dell's in the future. Personal or professional.

Not the PC you should choose

Dislike keyboard, reflectivity of surface and layout. My last Dell in 2016 was better constructed. This new PC is cheap and flimsy all around. Poor choice, would not do this again.

Not good for 3rd party apps

Full of bloat ware and issues with windows 11. This came in “s mode” which made it to where I could not use my label printer because there is not a Microsoft application for it. Even after disabling I still had tons of issues running 3rd party software. I returned and got a Lenovo

Poor manufacturing.

If you try to find a solution, you'll see that many people have had this issue. The customer service is terrible and just informs me that the warranty has expired and I will have to pay to have it repaired. I will not be purchasing another Dell product.

Casing broke within 9 months from normal use.
