After turning off or going to sleep, it stays dormant and is very hard to bring back to life. It remains capped at all times and was just recently purchased.

Review: Dell Inspiron 15.6" 2K Touchscreen Laptop (AMD Ryzen 7, 16GB, 1TB) The Dell Inspiron 15.6" Touchscreen Laptop with the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U is an outstanding choice for users seeking a powerful, responsive, and visually impressive machine without venturing into premium price territory. It expertly balances high-end components with a versatile form factor, making it ideal for professionals, students, and multitaskers alike. Performance and Powerhouse Specs The heart of this laptop is the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor. This modern, efficient CPU provides excellent performance for daily tasks, demanding applications, and light creative work. Paired with a generous 16GB of system memory (RAM), this laptop breezes through multitasking—you can comfortably run dozens of browser tabs, edit documents, and stream video simultaneously without experiencing frustrating slowdowns. Complementing this speed is the massive 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive). Not only does this provide instantaneous boot-up and application load times, but the 1TB capacity ensures you have ample room for large files, extensive software libraries, and media collections. Display and Design While the product title mentions "2K," the detailed specifications indicate a crisp 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS touchscreen display. This panel delivers vibrant colors and wide viewing angles, making it a great platform for media consumption and detailed work. The inclusion of a touchscreen adds a layer of versatility, which is perfect for quick navigation and annotation. Although the display brightness is listed at 220 nits, which is adequate for indoor use, the large screen size is fantastic for productivity. The overall design in Carbon Black is sleek and professional, blending into any work or home environment. Who is this for? This Dell Inspiron model hits a sweet spot for the price-to-performance ratio. It's highly recommended for: • College Students and Educators: The blend of performance and portability, combined with the versatility of the touchscreen, makes note-taking and project work seamless. • Business Professionals: The powerful AMD Ryzen 7 and 16GB RAM are more than enough to handle heavy spreadsheet work, video conferencing, and client presentations. • Home Users & Media Enthusiasts: The spacious 1TB storage means you don't have to worry about constantly managing files, and the large, high-resolution screen provides an enjoyable viewing experience for movies.

I really enjoy this computer. I appreciate the amount of memory and the full keyboard. The computer is so quick I can barely keep up which is a good thing. I use it a ton for work I bring home and for the planning I am doing for my family. My only qualm, which of course is personal and I know some don’t care, is the color. It is hard to not find a generic black, gray, or silver. But I am looking into a cover. Without me being so picky about the color I love the computer. The battery is great and I am pleased, the touch screen is a plus and I find myself enjoying that more than I thought.

I have had and used my new Dell laptop for about a month now and have not had any problems with it so far. I like the keyboard and the battery life seems to be very good. It is my first time with a touch screen, which I haven't used much but am getting used to it and I like some of the things I can do with it. The computer comes on quickly and runs smoothly. It is good for what I do. I don't like that it will not let me set ongoing backups to an external hard drive but instead keeps pushing me to do backups to the cloud, which I choose not to do.

I do a lot of networking in the literal sense in the field on IT jobs providing temporary CCTV/IP on large events in Open spaces.... I had previously purchased a Lenovo ryzen 7 laptop last year that seemed to be tanking suddenly for unknown reasons.. I went ahead and made this purchas/and then found out I needed to run sfc on the Lenovo to restore some boot up issues. the Lenovo is back to normal but I was so impressed with this Dell that I've kept it and am using it now as my go-to machine. it allows me to communicate with all devices necessary through Windows 11 to get them on the networks we're creating and the touch screen is a huge Plus.. battery life is a little bit better than the Lenovo and this one has a one terabyte drive as opposed to that 512.. I've already used the laptop on three different events with more to come and have had no issues with it. price was very good

Overall a good computer for home use or school use. Startup time is fast. Screen is nice and works well with all windows applications. It is nice to have the additional side number keypad if you work with spreadsheets. Feels like a full keyboard. AMD performs well and gives you a nice performance for a Ryzen 7. It plays well with the video card too. I prefer these Ryzen processors vs a lousy expensive intel. The downsides ? The keyboard doesn’t light up and makes it difficult to use in low light situations, most laptops include it but this one not. The constitution of the laptop itself ( plastic used ) is flimsy and if you hold it with one hand, the corner makes a crack noise , so I avoided this. Most laptops have better reinforcement on the outside shell. You will not be able to upgrade the RAM to more if you need it. Good at stuck with soldered memory on the motherboard. So ve aware of what you need because once you buy it , you are committed to what you get. Not many options to upgrade or improve. For what I bought it , it will work and will work well. So if you need higher performance or more processing power. This is not for you.

This is a solid computer for your basic needs. I can easily and quickly pull up webpages, scan in documents, look at pictures, etc. The battery gives great life though I have not put it to the full test just yet. This is my first computer that has an AMD Ryzen processor and I am not noticing any difference in the performance compared to the Intel processors I was using previously.

I really love this computer. I am learning more about each day. I had a little trouble hooking up the printer but the Geek Squad was able to do it in minutes. I will never be without the Geek Squad. I love the touch screen and the weight , much lighter than my last one. I have much more memory. It was a great choice for me.

This Dell touchscreen is okay for the price. I'm not giving it 5 stars because it gets hot and the fan works hard every time I'm downloading and uploading files. I use it for office work. However it’s fast.

This purchase is an upgrade from a previous Dell Inspiron Laptop for a faster processor, double the memory, and four times more SSD capacity. It is always a hassle to switch to a laptop since all manufacturers have preinstalled Microsoft's products. You just have to spend time figuring out how to uninstall them without messing up the computer's operation. I have a good experience owing the Dell product before. This is the main reason to stay with Dell when I upgrade my laptop. One thing I will suggest is to include a USB to USB-C adapter. I had to order one to use the USB-C port.
