    Not impressed

I wanted to love it and tried really hard but just couldn't do it. I knew the laptop did not have a numeric keyboard however the keyboard is really small. The screen resolution was wonderful but did not want to play well with certain applications. Also I ran into issues with the blue tooth not recognizing my blue tooth mouse. Lastly the hard drive was spinning loudly and the touch pad's response was flaky. Too many issues so it goes back to the store.

Not the Old DELL, Stay Away!

I had an XPS for years, the best computer I ever owned. Sad to say I bought this Dell Inspiron and had nothing but problems. Touchpad didn't work right, hard drive troubles. Its a pretty package, but the insides of this computer just aren't great. Looks great on paper and I thought it was but i's just slow, wonky. And Dell customer service has been a nightmare. after months of emails I finally got the touch pad sort of working. But for months I've been dealing with them and it's not the company it once was. Too Bad because I was loyal customer forever and believed in them. Anybody want to buy a computer, cheap! STAY AWAY from DELL.

Laptop is very nice but windows home

The hardware is great but putting Windows Home on it was a mistake that cost a whole star. Due to artificial limits put in the OS by Microsoft, the home edition wouldn't do what I needed the system to do. Which meant I had to spend an additional $100 on the pro upgrade just so I can get the system to do what I bought it for. If I didn't need windows I would have just thrown Linux on it but I am doing Windows development.

    Had some glitches

The touchscreen has lost its touch ability several times during use, I've had to restart the laptop. I only bought it last weekend and this has happened many times. Also, the touchpad will move tiles or desktop icons around when I pass by them on my way to something else. I had a couple of other small problems, but all of it combined was enough for me to return it. Which I'll be doing this weekend.

I bought this for my college school study. It's enough for daily studying like reading pdfs, surfing the Internet or watching videos. This 4k UHD touch screen is awesome too!

    Quality Control issues

So I purchased this laptop and had to exchange it 3 separate times due to issues with the screen. First time was for a stuck pixel right in the center of the screen. Second and third times were for extreme light bleed from the edges of the screen. This is obviously a problem due to this being a first generation 4K screen in a laptop at a very low price point. Also worth noting is that the onboard video has trouble doing anything at the 4K resolution, so watching 4K video is a choppy mess. The fact is that this "i7" processor is a low power dual core and it just can't keep up. The onboard AMD video chip performs admirably though. After updating to current drivers it was able to run the Tomb Raider benchmark at 30fps at 1920x1080 res on normal detail settings. I would not recommend this laptop to anyone since there are far more capable laptops at the same price point that have 1080 screens which work just fine at the 15.6" size anyway.

Had purchased this computer for my daughter and son-in-law for Christmas and once I got it home and saw how fast it was and the amount of Hard drive space and on board memory I wanted one for myself.

    Defective Screen

I was really excited when I bought this computer. But the screen started showing a 3/4 line of flickering white pixels right above the start button. So I returned it for an exchange, thinking it was just a fluke. Now, the second one has the same defect. The line of pixels appears when I'm using Chrome and Firefox, and when I have the settings window open. I will be taking this once back tomorrow.

Not everything is revealed when you buy at Best Buy. I had to call dell support and was told that only the hardware is covered and so I had to buy software warranty before they would fix it. I am now stuck with a product that still doesn't work right

    WORST LAPTOP EVER

    Posted .

This is the worst laptop ever. The palm rest (mouse) does not work half the time, it had to factory reset because it said it did not download Windows 10 correctly after i had been using the computer for about two months, and also the battery life is horrible. I would not buy this computer again and I urge everyone reading this to do the same. WORST COMPUTER on the MARKET!!!!

First thing I tested was the 4K videos on youtube and the image flickers while in full screen. Also screen flickers sometimes without being on the internet. It could be just this computer but I thought I mention it. I will be returning my laptop today :(.
