We recommend you download the latest firmware and drivers using the 'SupportAssist' application that came with your device. They may potentially resolve the issues you are experiencing with the display.
If the issue persists and prove to be hardware related, it may be covered and/or replaced under its limited warranty. We suggest reaching out to Dell Support at your earliest convenience in this case.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to receive this laptop as my first big purchase until I realized that it does not have a backlit keyboard as stated in the description of the laptop. If it is not an actual feature, it should not be listed. Setup was extensive and once you're forced into the Microsoft S Mode you cannot remove it. I wanted to love this laptop, as it's my first big computer purchase and first Dell. Finger prints are also all over the computer, so good luck constantly cleaning this machine. Unfortunately, I was left feeling mehhh and should have gone with an HP similar to my work computer.

Thanks for your review and we're sorry about the incorrect product description that was listed on the product page for this system. The keyboard specifications have been updated to reflect that this computer does not have a backlit keyboard, as you indicated.
If you'd like to take your computer out of Windows S Mode you can follow these steps to remove S Mode for free:
Windows 10 in S mode is designed for security and performance, exclusively running apps from the Microsoft Store. If you want to install an app that isn't available in the Microsoft Store, you'll need to switch out of S mode. Switching out of S mode is one-way. If you make the switch, you won't be able to go back to Windows 10 in S mode. There's no charge to switch out of S mode.
1. On your PC running Windows 10 in S mode, open Settings > Update & Security > Activation.
2. In the Switch to Windows 10 Home or Switch to Windows 10 Pro section, select Go to the Store. (If you also see an "Upgrade your edition of Windows" section, be careful not to click the "Go to the Store" link that appears there.)
3. On the Switch out of S mode (or similar) page that appears in the Microsoft Store, select the Get button. After you see a confirmation message on the page, you'll be able to install apps from outside of the Microsoft Store.

Stopped working

Bought it in March 2021 for when my daughter needed to start school in August 2021. She used it in August, took a 3 week school winter break in December-January. She started school again on 1/5/22 and we noticed it wouldn’t charge. You had to have the charger in a weird position to charge. Then today 2/1/22 it won’t even start. An error message keeps popping up “Warning!” and that’s it. The laptop wasn’t cheap for it to quit working after 5 months.
