This is not my first laptop, but it just might be my last. Touch pad seems to have dead spots which means continually tapping it in order to accomplish anything. Mouse often freezes. (I'm going to try an external mouse out of desperation!) It has a tendency to overheat, even when used for a short time. Laptop doesn't recognize its own charger and generates online warning message about using an authentic Dell charger. My advice is to keep looking....

It's cheap and I bought it as an emergency back up pc. Slow pc from the start. Takes a while to connect. I feel like pcs today should be faster.

I bought my first Dell, discounted. It's slow, doesn't show my photo preview in the folders, slow, shut down randomly on me tonight, slow, the track pad doesn't always work, did I mention it was slow? It makes me miss my cheap HPs or Toshibas. I thought the amount of memory was supposed to help it run several programs at once. I guess not. Just terrible.

I bought this machine for home use - including simple spreadsheets and word docs. I t could not handle MS Office at all. I had to return the PC.

This laptop was inexpensive and seemed like all the others so we went ahead and got it for my wife. But it literally doesn't work at all - its incredibly slow, the screen blacks out, times out before it can connect to the internet,... the mousepad is also very unresponsive - half the time nothing happens when you click. We have 3 kids in college and have probably bought 12 laptops over the last 5 years, and this is by far the worst

I hated this PC. I purchased 2 of them for my husband and daughter. I will never buy a Dell PC again. I spent several hours with dell support trying to get the wifi to work consistently only to be told they couldn't fix it and it was my router. All my other laptops and phones worked fine with my router. I returned the Dell PCs and bought HPs. Bye Dell!!!!!

The first purchased lap top was not operable... the second one had issues too, The uploading freezes frequently, and the computer needs to be shut down several times before it operates smoothly.

overall not too bad except with Win 10. I installed Win 7 and it works much better. Win 10 is terrible, maybe Microsoft should go back to DOS.

Plug computer in and it was not working right (been working with them since 1983) took it back to Best Buy and bought the Lenovo laptop.

This computer is a lot slower than my previous computer and it freezes up on occasion. I am not sure that I will keep this computer.

I have only owned Dell computer products. I originally purchased my computer in August of 2015. It gave me nothing but problems. So eventually swapped it out for another. It was even crappier that the 1st. Constant hour long updates. Would not connect to Wi-Fi anywhere. And used it a total of 10 times total, only to have the hard drive fail. I will never buy a computer from best buy ever again.

Its seems slower than my old laptop drops off the internet at times its not as good as the sales person told told me it would be

This computer was very slow and would freeze a lot. I ended up returning it for a different model within the 14 day return period.

I just love how easy and fun it was to use this laptop

Slow, not enough memory even for basic tasks, not upgradable to add memory or trade out hd for ssd. Returned it after 1 day.

I know Dell has a good name, so I felt comfortable buying this item. I know it's not the top of the line, but I did expect better performance. More often than not, when I attempt to sign in, I have to re-enter my password. Sometimes, I cannot get in at all! I should have spent a few more bucks and gotten another Toshiba.

I keep loosing my cd/dvd drive it work for short period of time and then its gone I can't fine it in the file explore

I HAVE HAD 3 OF THESE COMPUTERS NOW AND ALL ARE DEFECTIVE AND NOW I CAN NOT EXCHANGE OR RETURN THIS COMPUTER FOR A DIFFERENT MODEL BC OF THE AMOUNT OF RETURNS/EXCHANGES THAT HAVE BEEN MADE DUE TO DEFECTIVENESS!! VERY UPSET HAVE A COMPUTER THAT I AM NOT ABLE TO USE WASTED OF MONEY. ON TOP OF THAT YOUR POLICY SAYS TO RETURN PRODUCT WITHIN IN 15 DAYS AND THEN PENALIZE THE CUSTOMER.

I wish I purchased a different laptop that was brand new. This was an open box sale. Probably was a return.
