I purchased this laptop for my Mother-In-Law who is an author. She types and edits her book drafts with this laptop, and loves it! 4GB is more than sufficient for the casual user, but specifically for someone like her that isn't running many programs. Only knock, is the built-in mouse takes a little getting used to.

I purchased the Dell - Inspiron 15.6 Laptop for basic web-browsing activities such as Facebook and Email as well as catching up on work at home using Microsoft Software (word, excel, publisher, etc). It's light weight makes it easy to take on the go and with it's 4GB memory it allows me to work with multiple windows open and still have great speed. I have been very satisfied with my purchase.

Purchased this when my wife started a new job. I wanted a cheap laptop; she wanted a touch screen. We bought it in April, and we bought a solid state drive to go with it. This would be a fast computer if not for the hard drive, which is terrible. So I tore it apart and replaced the 1TB hard drive with an SSD, which made it acceptably fast, but this laptop is NOT user-serviceable. Basically it's a bunch of flimsy, discrete circuit boards slapped together in a cheap ABS plastic case with ribbon cables. I understand that most people don't want to tear apart their laptops. Ever. But replacing the hard drive shouldn't require me to bust out the butter knives. If I could update the memory and replace the hard drive by unscrewing a simple plastic plate under the bottom of the laptop, or even just removing the keyboard, life would be peachy. This month, the battery died (replaced, under warranty). Then the charging jack broke loose into the computer. Time to tear it apart. Turns out that the charging jack is superglued to some plastic tab that holds it in place via a single Phillips screw. Any vertical force on the charging jack means it'll break, and you'll be shipping your laptop to Dell for warranty service. You do get what you pay for. Avoid this model and spend a little more.

This is a very simple looking and functional laptop. Quick and gets the job done for a good price my only gripe is with the touchpad. I would recommend getting a wireless mouse to use with it.

Laptop is pretty impressive. Touchscreen.Youtube plays well.Good wifi connection. IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE WITH TOUCHPAD UPDATE THE DRIVERS FROM DELL. After that should work. I only play old school games like Unreal tournament (1999) and a bunch of emulators on this and they work well.

Great solution for school and internet. Not sure about gaming.

It is a great computer. It honestly puts my last one to shame.

Better keyboard, mouse, and coloration than my Toshiba Satellite, but it is just a slow responder. I don't have time to wait for pages to load on a brand new computer. Ain't nobody got time for that! Sweet Brown

Overall a good laptop computer with the basic necessities. Somewhat slower performance-wise than what I'm used to using compared to my company issued laptops but completely functional.

Love this laptop. Few minor things I would change; like the charger port being on the left instead of the right side. Loving it so far nonetheless.

This lap top has met my expectations for a reasonably priced lap top for personal use. So far battery holding charge extremely well.

This Laptop looks good. The set up for the laptop was easy, Why is everyone stressed about windows 10, I don't see the big deal.
