I bought this laptop last December, cannot turn it on without removing the battery. Contact Dell, all customer service is in Phillipines, India has "escalation" service. Sanjay in India had it sent twice to TX both times it was returned with same problem. Stay away from this laptop, and NEVER buy direct from Dell, you have no recourse if there is a problem

really works well, best buy ever. my friend bought a new one that doesn't work as well as this one.

Honestly kind of slow right out of the box. I'm not going to be doing too much with it, so this is just fine for me, but I'm not sure it's the best computer for your money.

I was looking for computers for the family and came across these. I bought 2 originally and 1 a month later. The first 2 were for my daughters and the last one purchased was for me. They worked well and ran decently for the first couple of months then WHAM!! All kinds of hell went wrong with them. They run slow as molasses, takes forever to load up and I constantly attempt to clean them up to try to get speed. I have had dell systems in the past and still have an older system that is running windows 7 that works better and runs faster than these even still to this day. I try to use mine from time to time but the girls just put theirs away and got tired of trying long ago. We had to buy another one for the oldest girl who went off to college because these were worthless. We took them back to BestBuy for service but since we had not bought the additional protection, they refused to do anything. Dang shame and this started me shopping at other places than bestbuy!!

I just got this dell just the other day, I love it

You should know that it doesn't have an optical drive (CD/DVD). Other than that it is a pretty good computer.

I called Best Buy since description did not list an optical drive. They conformed it did not have this. So I ordered it with a portable drive. Guess what? The computer arrived and HAS a drive. It also has an ethernet port! The model number in specs is: I3558. The model number on the computer is: 5100. Not the same model at all. I am keeping the computer but returning the drive.

I bought 2 of these, the first one the hard drive went out. The 2nd one it would not remember my login password & the touchpad would not work. I was a loyal Dell customer for at least 20yrs. Now it's time to move on.

i dont think its a great product. system is slow. but i bot it for 280$ so its ok
