Bought this for my son who is physically rough on laptops and other electronics. Just doesn't always take good care of things, leaves them lying around in the way or props them in precarious positions. Also goes to any site a friend sends him and gets malware-infested. I haven't had any complaints about this model yet. If it dies maybe I should get him a Panasonic Toughbook running Linux!

I bought this Dell laptop from BestBuy. Price is low and the performance is great!

The only downside I've found so far is it is a little on the slow side, but I primarily bought it for the 1 TB hard drive. So for the inexpensive price.....I was willing to sacrifice a little performance. If I required a higher end machine, I would have been willing to spend more money, but it does what I needed it to do.

I bought for my son. he is playing games, browsing. its a good one for this price.

I purchased this laptop because it had the features that I was looking for. I had previously owned desktop computers (Dell) and was finally ready for a laptop. I have always used computers in the business world and for personal use at home. I love the flexibility to be able to use the laptop in any room in the house. I have had several Dell computers and have had a good experience every time.

I bought this for my daughter in college. She has nothing but praise for it, speed is very good, has features she likes and she actually uses it to send dear old dad messages from time to time!!!

Good computer, I would buy again. Never had a Dell before.

This Dell Inspiron is fast and functions well. A good purchase for my requirements.

I am very happy with my purchase of this laptop. I usually buy something that is really affordable and my last laptop was just terrible compared to this one. I love how much memory I have on this one!

Basically I needed one laptop to connect my friends via skype or other video call applications, watch movies, access internet etc. Its really nice laptop for the price. So far never faced any trouble.

Not the fastest laptop, but a great laptop for $299. There are a lot of laptops for $299. I used cpubenchmark.net to compare the processor speeds. This one was a lot better than the other $299 laptops.

This is really a good deal for the money. It does everything I needed it to do.

I was looking for a cheap laptop because I have small kids who always want to use my laptop. It works well, but it freezes from time to time. Maybe, it is because of the antivirus. If you can go higher in your budget, get icore 5. Otherwise, it does the job. I use it for research, homework. Yes, I will recommend it.

This computer is has worked great for my son. Lightweight and good size screen.
