    Great Budget Gaming Laptop

Ok so this can play most current gen games on mid to high graphics. Screen size is debatable. This laptop is perfect for college students who want to play games between classes or who want to have something to play when at a friend's house. For the price is nice for what you get. You can always buy a Solid State to improve the laptop and more ram, but out of the box this is fine to use if you do not really care for start up time and window load times. Many other reviews seem more critical but the honest truth is that if you have a budget for gaming laptops this would be a fine starter for many people.

    GREAT BANG FOR THE BUCK

Although this is considered a "low end" gaming laptop, I have heard from a tech friend that this is better than his AlienWare gaming computer. I love that it is backlit, and never thought I would like Windows 10, but find it easier to organize things. It has enough RAM to power my games, and love the Nvidia graphics compared to most "on board" graphics in other laptops. The only thing I would say that is a slight negative, is that it doesn't have a DVD/CD drive. Otherwise, this laptop gives you great BANG FOR THE BUCK!

    Great gaming machine. Buy one

I got this computer open box for $599 for my 7 year old son who loves to watch gamers on youtube. We also picked up a mouse and a steam gift card, and downloaded 5 games he's seen his favorite youtubers play. This is definitely his most prized possession now! He chooses playing on his new gaming laptop over his xbox one s, ps4, snes classic, and ipad. I'm a apple fanboy for life, so there's a bit of a learning curve for me getting around, but my boy seems really comfortable with the windows os. I didn't give it 5 stars due to the fan that seemed a little loud. I'm no stranger to loud fans, but if you're looking for a machine that's dead quiet when the processor is under strain, this isn't it. BUT... i don't think anyone shopping in this price point is looking for absolute perfection. Also, I'm not a fan of the matte screen. Fortunately, I found a thread on reddit that provides upgrade options for a glossy hi res screen. The power supply is a bit clunky, but I assume that's a pc thing. Not sure if this machine is super heavy, or I'm just used to Macs that are super light, but I'm hoping an ssd and a few mods might drop a little weight. I'm looking forward to bonding with my boy and making this his project machine; pulling it apart to upgrade the specs in a few years. Edit: I went back and gave this computer 5 stars. You get what you pay for and so far this machine hasn't disappointed us. If i thought it was only 80% of what I was looking for, I should've left it in the store. Thankfully, my kid is 100% happy with it.

Bought as a gift for a family member to replace his laptop that was only a few years old, but was unable to play even smaller games, This lil machine was 1/4 the cost of his old laptop and easily plays most of the games that the old one couldnt. nVidia 1050 Mobile Graphics, compared to Desktop Cards is a lil on the weak side, but they are designed to not use excessive power like their PC Brothers, and still offers significantly better performance than the IntelHD Graphics. The CPU itself is a very good CPU and plows through tasks without breaking a sweat. The Memory and Harddisk are what you'd expect from a laptop. Plays most AAA Titles at 1080P w/ Medium-High Graphics depending on game type.

Fantastic buy extremely happy that I bought this during a door buster sale for only $599 laptop is upgradable and compatible with the latest softwares out there Microsoft mixed reality ready excellent for gaming Productivity video streaming photo editing and 3D graphic design the built in video card takes abundant weight off of laptops RAM which is pretty standard at 8 GB of ram but this laptop is also very upgradable with options to upgrade ram all the way up to 32 GB of RAM. Motherboard is plug and play so if your not digging the screen this unit comes shipped with, it can be swapped out easy peasy. Good luck shopping, I hit gold with this deal :)

We've had this laptop for a month now and my son has noticed the difference when playing games. It's fast when surfing the internet, fps much better than a regular laptop, nice looks. Fans are kind of noisy compared to other laptops but only after some time playing games. Overall, great laptop not only for gaming but also regular use.

This laptop is my first gaming laptop and it's been doing wonders. It's incredibly fast and the sound system is pretty amazing. It's heavier than most laptops but put it in a backpack and it's like carrying around a light school load everyday.

I'll start off with the negative, since I couldn't give the rating a 4.5 The screen is bad. It doesn't do 1080p justice and has some pretty bad viewing angles. second con is the mouse pad, though this is just matter of opinion, it is clunky and the left click seems to not register once in a while. Last negative I could think of is it is heavy, though I am sure it is for the cooling system and GPU. Okay next I will go by saying, none of those issues are complete non buy issues. The screen is can be replaced if you are tech savvy or you could hook up to a monitor. I use a mouse so the pads really non issue and my fiancé says the mouse pad is fine for her. The weight is only an issue if you are trying to carry this in a flimsy bag haha. Okay now for the positive. It uses a better than decent GPU and a good CPU. if you are going to use this laptop to stream and play FPS games competitively I wouldn't recommend this for you. This is a budget gaming laptop and does what it is intended to do. It ran Overwatch at 100+ FPS in mostly high settings in 1080p. It can run battlefield 1 at 60+ Fps in medium to high 1080p graphics. GTA 5 runs at 60+ in high 1080p. If you want a laptop that is going to give you 200+ FPS every game you are looking in the wrong price range. Next pro is the overall design. It has a basic yet sleek look to it. They use a triangle pattern for the cooling system (which works great 4 hour session it barely gets warm) on the front and back. A Keyboard that is better than or as good as any other laptop keyboard in this price range. The movement buttons are outlined red and the keyboard can be backlit in red. Okay my last and biggest Pro is just the overall pricing for what you get out of the product. It will run most games in medium to high settings. There is room for upgrades. You can easily access inside the laptop there is room for some type of HD and an empty M2 slot for you to add a Solid Slate Drive! With a student discount or a good open box deal you can get this laptop under $800. Hope this review helps you either way you go and I will try to answer any questions you may have .

This is quite a laptop, at first I wasn't thrilled with the display it had an orange/brown tint but I found that this was due to the settings in the display drivers. Once the display driver settings were fixed it looks great, it doesn't have the glossy look of a IPS display but it worked well with sunlight hitting the screen and there wasn't any glare. The video card is fantastic, on some games I am getting up to 88 fps on high and that is fantastic. I wish it had more RAM but since there is an open slot available it isn't hard to upgrade the only problem is that there is a lack of DDR4 ram manufacturers right now. The hard drive does well, and doesn't seem to lag while an SSD would be faster it isn't necessary.

I purchased this laptop to replace my Macbook that I gave to my wife. I wanted to play games on Steam and World of Warcraft and this computer works amazing for both. It runs Legion at around 60 to 100fps at Level 7 settings. Its a little slow compared to my desktop but that's because I have a solid state. I purchased this on sale combined with my student deal for 650! What a steal! :) Its VERY heavy and looks mean but hey its a gaming laptop so dont expect it to be very light lol. Vents are also great - it gets hot but not unbearable. Overall I would recommend this laptop for the average joe who wants a portable gaming laptop without spending crazy money.

If you're looking for an affordable machine that you can game on, but also need decent endurance, there aren't a lot of good options. After quite a bit of research, the Inspiron 15 7000 7567 was the best solution that I could find. Aesthetically and professionally, I'm satisfied. Despite being marketed as a "gaming" laptop, the appearance of the black color option is muted enough to avoid raising eyebrows on the job. There is a pleasant lack of superfluous lighting. The sound of the fans is noticeable when they come on, but I've never found them to be offensively loud. In productivity tasks and web browsing, my battery usually lasts between eight and ten hours, which would be somewhere between average and good even on a non-gaming machine. My everyday applications like Word, Excel, and Firefox launch quickly and run smoothly. The basics like Bluetooth, WiFi, etc. have all been hassle free thus far. The built-in web cam and microphone aren't anything special, but they're centered above the screen as they should be, and they're sufficient for video chatting. The keyboard is surprisingly nice for a budget laptop. Even with a full number pad, it doesn't feel cramped, and the keys feel springy. The back-light is bright enough to be functional, and can be toggled on and off with the F10 key. The trackpad is good enough for those times when I really don't have a surface for my mouse, but it's no better than the last one I had to deal with. At five and a half pounds, this machine feels light and portable in a backpack to me, but that probably wouldn't be true for very small people, people with back problems, people with compromised mobility, etc. As a gamer, my needs are met. The keyboard is spacious enough to prevent most accidental key-presses, and it does not become uncomfortably warm during long gaming sessions. The outlined WASD keys are a nice touch. The speakers are much better than I expected from a laptop, presumably due to the inclusion of a sub-woofer. They're quite loud with acceptable bass, and none of the irritating tinniness I expected. Recent titles like Destiny 2 and Mass Effect: Andromeda are playable with visual settings high enough to make them look recent, and it goes without saying that older titles like Skyrim and Dying Light can be played without any compromises, but the stock TN panel deserves some criticism. While it's perfectly usable, it reminds me of a budget desktop panel that I purchased in 2009. Now, to be fair, this panel is better than that one was. It's sharper, it's a bit brighter, and the response time is much better; but the color reproduction and overall feel is similar. So, if color accuracy and viewing angles are very important to you, you should probably consider other options. Overall, the build quality is as good or better than what I expected. It's plastic, of course, but it has already survived a few minor falls and impacts. I'm not sure how the hinge will age, but it doesn't feel too cheap, and it moves smoothly. I don't care for the soft touch veneer, and I am certain that it will age terribly, but that's a very minor issue. The panel uses a 30-pin eDP connection, so it can be easily replaced if it fails, which I appreciate. One of the two memory slots is unpopulated, and there is a free m.2 slot. The bottom panel is held in place with a single Philips head screw, so storage upgrades and replacements will be fairly straightforward when the time comes. Note: This is a review of the Dell INSPIRON 15 7567 (the base model) with a TN panel, 1TB mechanical hard drive, and GTX 1050. Best Buy also sells a slightly more powerful variant of this model with the same quad core i5 CPU that ships with an IPS panel, 256GB m.2 NVMe SSD, and GTX 1050Ti for about $100 more. This model generally will offer better battery life, due to the TN panel using less power than the IPS, but the much better viewing angles and color accuracy of the IPS display combined with a slightly faster GPU will make for a better gaming experience. Just as you can add an m.2 SSD to this machine, you can add a 2.5'' SATA hard drive to that one, so you needn't make your purchasing decision based on storage space. Both are an excellent value, and they are otherwise nearly identical products.

I was skeptical when I saw this computer and the price it was offered for. It passed with flying colors though. There are faster computers out there - for double the price. As it is set up, this computer has met my needs. It will handle any game I load with ease. The solid state drive is quick and flawless. For the money it can't be beat.

This is a very good and quick computer for gaming or, as my son alleges, school. It has nice speed and great storage for the price. There is only one complaint and it's not actually about the computer itself but the software. The computer comes loaded with Windows, as is standard. However, my son disabled the automatic updates due to some prior issues with updates. Somehow, the system keeps overriding the disable function and updating anyhow. When downloading a game, having the computer go into update mode causes the download to freeze. We are trying to find a way around that. Other than this issue, we are very pleased!

I purchased this laptop with the intent to play Battlefield 1 and maybe a few other games. I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth this laptop operates. Of course, I added an M.2 SATA SSD (256GB) and another 4GB of RAM, but this thing is amazingly fast. There is a backlit keyboard (red), but I wish the keys lit up brighter. Also, the keys are too far back on the laptop surface (in my opinion). Last thing I'm not particularly fond of is the fact that it has a single, long hinge. I LOOOVE the speaker(s) on this computer. They're pretty loud for laptop speakers and produce a very clear sound. There is no optical disc drive (CD/DVD drive), but that's okay with me because most software and multimedia objects are going all-digital anyway. It's a pretty sturdy, heavy laptop so for those who hate toting around a laptop with a little weight to it, this surely isn't the device for you. The battery life has to be one of my favorite features. The battery life lasts about ten hours. It's so great. Another pro is there is only a single screw to remove the back/bottom cover for access to RAM and hard drive (among other little electronic components).
