I'm a very tech savy person with multiple computers and this buy for the price was amazing!! Exactly what I was looking for and couldn't be happier plays basic games like minecraft and streams my Xbox one from my living room to my laptop with a nice 15" screen in 720p! (I know there higher resolution but price is key) just in love with it great purchase and highly recommend I! Ask questions I'll be more then happy to answer any!

    Great Laptop

My dog killed my last laptop screen so I needed a new laptop. The Dell - Inspiron 15.6 Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i3 - 6GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive - Black is really nice! This is my first touch screen and it's a very cool addition. It's plenty fast for my needs and I was a bit wary of buying Dell, I used to love Dell (back in the day), but they got sloppy and there products turned to poo. The sales associate assured me that their quality has gotten better and so far so good and of course Best Buy prices are very good.

    The little Dell that could

I've been in the market for a new laptop, and have browsing mostly everywhere for a budget friendly yet decent performing laptop. I stumbled across this little one and kept it on the side of my wish list amongst others. It seemed like laptops under 300 bucks had 4gigs of ram and laptops above 450 had 8gigs, this one fell right in the middle at 6gig. I intently wanted something that could hande streaming 1080p shows, and playing games like World of Warcraft and wasn't slow on operating programs. So I finally decided on getting this one, the design is nice and is a slick black, the plastic foundation of the laptop does seem pretty cheap and flimsy. Always hated laptop's keyboards and touch pads so can't say anything nice about them. the screen is touch screen which is a cool feature if you feel like going all tablet mode. the sound quality if alright at best, could be more clear sounding and louder. the picture quality is nice but is no 1080p 120hz HD, I'm content with it. the screen brightness is just right for me, even at max brightness in a dark room it doesn't blind me. When I first got it going the laptop did freeze on me twice during the initial start up for unknown cause, hasn't done it again. the fan is pretty quiet even when the laptop is put under stress such as playing World of Warcraft which brings me up to the next topic. This dell is perfectly able to run and maintain a solid but not perfect FPS(Frames per second) when I was play WoW on graphics set to med. Don't think this laptop could play games like skyrim, fallout 4, etc at max ultra settings. The battery life is good, about 3 to 4 hours on normal usage, and about 1 to 2 hours when playing WoW. Overall the laptop is pretty strong for the price.

    Good for the Price

The laptop overall is pretty good. It's decently light and cheap. It will probably do what you need it to. It's just that the mousepad sucks. That's the main issue. It really sucks. It's a good thing you get the touch screen with this laptop, because you will give up in frustration trying to point and click. This mousepad might have been surplus from something made in 1992. Otherwise, it's a great deal and a decent laptop.

I've been needing a new laptop and this one is definitely a great one. It's pretty fast and very easy to use. The sound is good the picture is good and I love that it's a touchscreen. If you're looking for a laptop for home use this is the one. I don't know if it's good for gaming or anything like that cause that's not what I use it for. But it is great for Internet browsing, music, pics, etc... I've only had it for a few days now so there's much more I need to get into but what I've seen so far it's a very nice laptop.

Excellent! Just what I needed for school. Everything works great. Easy set up within minutes. Surprised to find out 1TB hard drive! I normally research for days when buying electronics, but Dell has a great reputation, screen is great size, Intel Core i3, just enough for a laptop/notebook

This laptop has 6bg memory, more than enough for general use such as checking email, office works, etc..it has DVD burner too. The screen display is not in top quality, need more brightness. - Not good for movie or even picture. The hard drive is huge with 1tb capacity, but I found it is a little bit noisy - but acceptable. There is no LED indicators - a big surprise (I would not purchase this laptop if I knew this). There is a single LED that only lid up when plug in AND battery is not full - useless feature. Feel cheap - so good for starter only. Light weight, and thin.

Bought Laptop for Mother In Law to replace WIndows Vista desktop. She wanted a full size keyboard (with number keys) and 15.6" screen for paying bills, email, etc. The added bonus is the touchscreen, dvd-rw, and portability. My son set it up for her and found the Windows 10 setup experience much better than with prior Windows versions. With the 6gb memory and i5, this laptop should serve her well for years to come.

We just bought this laptop to replace my 6 year old Toshiba that died. Overall, its a nice laptop. The touchscreen is cool and it's lightweight. We only need for basic functions (internet, record keeping, etc.). However, we've only had it a few hours and I've noticed a lot of "glitchy" behavior from the computer. I click on something and nothing happens... click multiple times, still nothing. The mouse is super sticky too... I'll be going to click on something and it wont move or do anything. Its like the touchscreen and the mouse pad can't agree on what to do. We plan to return it tonight and get something a bit different. Definitely disappointed, seemed like a nice computer. (Other reviews on the internet showed a similar issue with the mouse being glitchy as well, I should have listened or I wouldn't be going back to the store).

My 10yr old wanted to learn how to program mods for minecraft on the pc but I didn't want him doing it on my laptop. He's also starting the 5th grade this year so I figured he would need computer access at home for school. I picked this one because I've had great success with Inspirons (my 10+ yr old Inspiron is still kicking) and the price was reasonable. I lucked out and got an open box model so got an even better deal. Setup was easy out of the box as I already have experience setting up Microsoft's family security settings. So far it has been working like a charm!

This laptop is affordable and is useful for basic computing. I am only using it for work for word processing and such, so not for any heavy lifting. That being said, it's working fine with no hiccups. It has a DVD disc drive which is nice since many laptops are eliminating those nowadays.

    Slow Responding

I bought this Laptop PC thinking it was a pretty good deal all around with the 1TB Storage, 6 RAM, Intel core i3, etc. The Laptop structure is pretty good don't feel cheap and actually very sturdy. This PC was intended to be used just for editing documents and internet research and this thing barely does this common tasks. First of all Internet browsing is unbearable because it takes minutes to load a single webpage! No kidding this PC is running the internet explorer only and it will take forever to load. I really dont know what's going on but I guess it's probably Windows 10 that is way to demanding on the processor or Windows 10 has serious wifi connection issues which I read other people owning other PC running Windows 10 having this issues. I would recommend spending more money on a higher end PC Model since this PC won't make it. I must say I'm very disappointed with this product and don't plan to buy any Windows 10 OS.

This is my 3rd Dell Computer and 2nd Laptop. My first was purchased through Dell.com on 2002. This one is much lighter in weight, the touch screen is a nice feature if you like using the computer like a tablet. however, I don't use it much because I dont' like seeing all the finger prints on the monitor screen. So unless I wanted a tablet I would not get this feature again. The processor speed it good, it have more memory than my other laptop computer. Windows 10 is a little different than Windows 7, it is better than Vista, but I still prefer Windows 7 or XP as operating systems.
