I needed a new laptop for my work, looked around, listened to some good advice from an engineering friend and bought this machine. I like it so far. It’s a good tool for my work which includes much writing and some handling of photos plus voice tracks. On the negative side it is rather slow firing up first thing and at times loading but not terribly so. Overall I consider it a bargain and more than suitable.

This laptop completely exceeded my expectations. It is very fast and quiet and exactly what I needed for making designs or simply just surfing the web. It has a tablet touch screen which comes in handy when you simply just want to reach out and press something. I love it.

I've had this computer one day, and my first thought is that you can't beat the price. I still haven't decided if I love it, hate it or just like it. I keep comparing it to my 6-year-old HP Pavilion laptop that I replaced with this Dell. That one was solidly built and was still quite fast even though it was old and starting to have some issues. I don't know if I was influenced by the negative reviews on here, but I noticed all of the same complaints that others have had. The keyboard feels cheap - it gives, and I don't know if that is a purposeful feature or just poor craftsmanship. There are absolutely no indicator lights other than the CapsLock - I can't even tell if the computer is on. Maybe this is to save battery power. The positive is that it is very quiet; I don't hear the motor running or the fan blowing. It's not as slow as some complaints have claimed. Also, the screen is not as bad as some people have mentioned. I was just going really cheap because I basically only use my laptop for word processing, Internet browsing, accessing my work portals, and storing some photos. If you are a gamer or you need a lot of processing power and speed, this may not be the computer for you. I was also hoping it would feel a little more lightweight because I will occasionally carry it around. I hope it holds up. I was very rough with my HP laptop, and it never got a scratch on it.

Oddly enough, the laptop I bought my husband in June had a complete hard drive failure! It was still under warranty, so they sent it out for repair, but in the process the USB port was damaged and wouldn't function. Best Buy replaced it with another laptop!

This a great deal, I suggest any one to buy this. More space for the money. Easy to use.

I really like this laptop. It is easy to operate, and it is very durable and reliable!

We are retired and needed a computer with only moderate bells and whistles but enough power that we weren't spending our retirement waiting for things to load! I do some searching the web and my hubby likes to play basic games. This computer has enough memory and power for both without any frustration and plenty of room for saving and editing photos. I am still learning the perks this computer has.
