Not good with mouse touchpad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this product on specials. But when I used, I find it annoying with mouse touchpad. Configuration wise it's a good laptop with i-3 processor. I tried to change the sensitivity using it's software settings, but even then there was a miss on every 20 clicks. If you can accomodate mouse touchpad with usb mouse, then you should go for it. Finally, I returned the laptop.

Not off to a good start
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought the laptop on July 5. On July 11, we dropped it off at the Geek Squad to have a data transfer done from our old laptop's hard drive and left on vacation. We picked it up on July 22. On July 26, we started getting a message that Windows 10 failed to load properly and the computer would not boot up and operate. So on July 27, we dropped it off again at the Geek Squad for service. As of today, (July 28) we have heard nothing about it. So to recap, we've had the laptop for a total of 23 days and have been able to use it a total of 10 days. Not a good beginning.

Posted .Hello Tegl,
Thanks for your feedback about your new Dell computer. We'd recommend the following tips to help with your computer freezes:
1. Run a Computer Diagnostic. To determine if your computer is experiencing a hardware problem, run the Dell Preboot System Assessment (PSA) Diagnostics. For information on how to run Diagnostics, and to determine the issue, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2iaiujA.
2. Check Safe Mode for Symptoms. To boot into safe mode, please follow the instructions below:
a) Start the computer.
b) Tap 'F8' on the keyboard immediately and every one second until the Dell logo screen disappears. From there you will see the Windows Advanced Options Menu on the screen. (If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, restart the system and try again.)
c) Select Safe mode with Networking and press Enter.
d) Log on as the administrator or as a user with administrative access.
e) Open applications and test the computer in safe mode. If the symptoms exist in safe mode, please continue the troubleshooting steps in this article. If the symptoms do not exist in safe mode, the issue is likely related to a driver or software and you may wish to complete steps 6 to see if you are able to resolve the lockups or freezing.
6. Check for Malware. Malware (Virus, Spyware, etc.) can definitely cause a Windows system to lock up or appear to hang. To check for malware on your system and to ensure that your computer is up to date on security software, visit Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2wWP1zI.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the WORST computer I've ever had! It's less than 1 year old & still under warranty but it's falling apart due to a manufacturer defect in the right hinge. Dell will not honor the warranty, which I still have over three months left on, even though hundreds of complaints, WITH PHOTOS, have been submitted for the same exact issue. DELL says that broken hinges are part of "normal wear & tear", even though the hinge itself is pulling apart the screen & has caused the base around the keyboard to crack!!! DELL has even gone so far as to say that the customers are "opening the laptop wrong"!!! WHAT??!! I've had everything from MacBook Pro to Acer & have never ever seen a problem like this one. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER DELL PRODUCT! DO NOT BUY A DELL!!! DELL needs to recall this product. I wish I could return it to BESTBUY for a refund to put toward a good laptop :(

Returned for another product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only had this laptop 2 months and started having issues with it powering off and not wanting to come back on. It was cheaply made out of really flimsy feeling plastic as well. Returned it and got a higher end model Asus instead that had an all metal body and was a convertible tablet PC instead of just a touch screen laptop
