Smooth running system. Operating system is one of the best I have ever used. Light weight and very sleek.

I was going for another brand with the same price point as this, but I ended up buying this Inspiron after I went back and forth to my Best Buy branch to test it. For the same amount of money vs that other Japanese brand, I get touchscreen, a nice backlit keyboard, a newer I5 6th gen processor and better display brightness. Although that other brand has 8gb of memory, I found it easy to upgrade this 5559 from 6GB to 12GB. Just pop the access doors under it and it's all easily done. The chassis is clean and understated. It's matte silver so nothing that exciting, but it is professional looking. Touchpad is bigger than the others and it is more sensitive so you just have to set the sensitivity down so it wont pinch or zoom as frequently. The touchscreen feels good on this laptop. If you like the feel of Lenovo Yogas or HP touchscreens, this is as responsive as the $700 2 in 1 laptops out there. No lags on mine while running photoshop or protools. I even had a chance to run some game with its native resolution like GTA, MGS, or even newer strategy games without a hiccup. The speakers are really decent. It's a good all around laptop that has power to do more advanced applications. Overall, a really smart buy for me.

This was a great laptop... until the video driver failure could not be resolved. Microsoft and Intel need to get together to figure that out. Geek Squad either wouldn't, or couldn't, fix the issue. Tried doing driver updates ourselves, and that didn't work. So.... back to the store it went as a return. Unfortunately, it was also the last one in stock of a laptop they no longer carry, so now we are w/out a personal laptop again while we price shop around for something comparable.

I bought but when I got it home I just couldn't understand how to work it so I decided to take it back.

I first tried a lenovo, but ended up returning it for this. Best Laptop brand in my opinion. Dell!!!
