I was hoping this would be a great black friday deal. When I tried it out the internet was very slow loading pages compared to my HP I had sitting next to me. I returned it thinking it was a defect, but the new one did the same thing. It's ok for the price but I would rather spend a little more for something faster.

its a decent laptop got it on a black Friday sale good price. works well and fast. the only thing is its bulky and a little heavy than newer laptops

I just purchased this last night on Thanksgiving and excited I was able to get one. When I got home to set it up, the process took longer than expected. But I was going from Windows 8 to Windows 10 so I figured it a more complex program with more features so I wasn't worried about the extra time. Once my setup was complete, I began to set it up the way I like it. The first thing was to get Chrome, because who actually uses IE? I opened IE to get to the Chrome download. Instantly the mouse began freezing on me. I would click and then I wasn't able to move the cursor for about 10 seconds. I initially thought it was because of IE but then realized this was a new computer fresh out of the box, there should be no lag. This happened even after I got Chrome installed. I then set up my VPN and had the same freezing issue with the mouse cursor freezing. Even while in Windows Explorer, offline, I encountered a freezing mouse. That was it for me. SO DISAPPOINTED. I know this is only an i5 processor but still, a brand new computer, fresh out of the box, with 8 gb of RAM should not be doing this. I will be taking this back to the store today after work, its a total bust since I will most likely be unable to get another laptop on sale in this price range as they are most likely out of stock by now. For the price, the laptop is great, but my unit was lagging consistently, even with bloatware removed. I had to do a factory reset after updates wouldn't install, and that took HOURS to do; for a brand new program, it's not acceptable. It might have been a defective unit, but I returned it and got another product. Be weary. Also, the keyboard is tough to use, especially when you need to type something out or do some coding.

Purchased this laptop as a replacement of an older Inspiron 8500 laptop. Mouse Pad is unresponsive sometimes not to mention off center with the actual laptop. Takes forever to load applications. Would not update windows apps until I troubleshooted the problem. Takes forever to shutdown. Feedback in sound during playback in Sirius XM. Not even worth $350

The laptop is good and worth for money .. the only drawback is the display.. it's not full hd..

I am so disappointed. I carefully read the reviews before purchasing. Saw nothing to indicate my experience. This computer has updated in some fashion every time I've shut it down or started it up. These updates have taken HOURS, and I am not exaggerating. Right now, the wheel has been spinning for over an hour with the message "getting windows ready; don't turn off your computer" after I restarted it because of downloading a small application that has taken less than five minutes on OLDER computers. This computer also comes loaded up with annoying things installed that pop up notices like fireworks until you spend another hour disabling them. When I have actually been able to use it between the hours of updates, it's slow; slower than my 3-year old work computer with a slower processor, less RAM, and smaller hard drive. Do yourself a favor and spend a bit more for something else.

The laptop has a rough texture on the track pad, surface where your wrists go, and on the keys. I know some like that but I can't stand it. I didn't see any reviews that mention that so I am letting others know. I am still debating whether or not to return it and keep looking or to keep it.

Bought in black Friday and returned it the 2nd day of use, laptop is slow and the display sucks, Why make a suppossely nice laptop with such low resolution? I have a 5 years old laptop and the display quality and sound is better than this brand new Dell, what a shame i was so excited

I got the laptop and did an analysis that showed one memory slot open on motherboard. I bought another 8GB DIMM and went to install. There is no way to upgrade memory, no door on bottom of laptop to access memory. Don't know if this is manufacturing defect or supposed to be this way

I purchased this item in store yesterday. The specs seemed very good for the price. When I got it home it kept freezing up, mouse pad wouldn't work, and the bottom of the computer got very hot. I returned it to the store 2 hours later. Still waiting for my money back...they said 3-5 business days. Very disappointed, I thought this was going to be a good but.

Read several good reviews about the product. But Unfortunately I got a laptop with defective touch pad. Will be exchanging with other one. The touch pad is not intact at left side. :(

laptop Power ON button light not glowing, camera quality of picture is poor, MS office software's not licences, Anti-virus only 1 month validity. Remaining specs are OK.

I don't know if it is a touchscreen problem or a touch pad but the cursor acts like it is having seizures. You try to move it and it jumps somewhere totally different - even using the touchscreen it jumps. I tried turning off the touchpad and just using an outside mouse and then it had 2 cursors. This hasn't even been a month. Heard from others who bought this during black friday that theirs are messing up too. Shame because the specs are great. I am returning.
