Good computer, touch screen is a little touchy not as responsive as I thought, but not a frequent used feature. Definitely not as fast as an i7, I really like the design and weight of thè computer.

I love how quickly this solid state drive boots up. I have had this laptop for about a month and it has been working flawlessly. Great laptop to work remotely from time to time. No issues. Originally I wasn’t sure about a black laptop, but I actually like it.

Ordering was easy and shipment arrived promptly and on time. Setting up transfer of files was a little cumbersome but no fault of the computer. Faster startup and seamless operation for our routine tasks. Beautiful display. Lightweight and good battery life.

Laptop is light, well laid out, and fairly fast. Plenty of ports/connections. Good screen resolution. Major downside - wifi adaptor can not find 5g network, and multiple questions about the capability resulted in different answers. I am experiencing very slow internet response on my home network, especially compared to other devices I use. Moved right next to router, no improvement. Plugged in ethernet cable, and that was very very slow. Reset router, laptop... no improvements. So - if multi-band, high speed wifi is important...otherwide a good pc.

      MTPC,

We're sorry that this computer is not recognizing all of the available speeds that you have on your internet router. Not all computers are designed with the capability of recognizing every available connection within range. We hope that over time that the speed will improve for your computer. We'd recommend running the Windows Performance Troubleshooter to see if it can help speed up your computer:

      1. Close all open windows.
      2. Press the Windows logo key + X key on the keyboard.
      3. Click Control Panel.
      4. Click System and Security.
      5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems.
      6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.
      7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process.
      8. Restart the PC.

Great Laptop at the Price Point

A very fast processor at this price point which I use strictly for travel business purposes. It is basic (not super light...no lights on the keyboard), but more than serves the purpose if you aren't needing something for hard core processing.

    Typical Dell garbage

Quick & sweet. Only bought over HP/Asus because it was 200$ off(600$ to 400$) and others same specs were only 100$ off. Mistake #1.. ive always bought Asus/Dell even Lenovo occasionaly but i shy away from Dell because as a computer programmer and building PCs in my spare time, we all know Dell's are overpriced & under perform in software & build quality. The TV commercials from the early 2000s are the only reason theyre still around. But make no mistake, 2 weeks after purchase (for my wife just for school) Laptop already crashes/reboots/black screen.. and it was DURING or AFTER the DELL SOFTWARE UPDATES (Yes, im laughing inside too). Reformatted, only allowed a BIOS update, disabled Windows Telemetry/Defender garbage & bloatware, now the computer runs how it should with those specs. Not 60% CPU usage while sitting at the desk top and 100% usage when opening ANY application. We'll see how long it lasts but man.. what a let down. Going to upgrade the RAM but knowing Dell im sure its 2 sticks of 4 GB ram instead of 1 stick of 8 GB just to cut corners and not allow you to upgrade to its full potential. Also the touch screen is kind of useless buy a regular model or spend the extra $$ on a 120/144 HZ panel. Your Welcome.

      HonestReviewer,

We're sorry to hear that your computer keeps crashing. Here are some tips to diagnose the crashes:

      1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type "problem reports".
      2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software.
      3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly.
      4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.

We'd also suggest checking to make sure that your software and drivers are up to date on Dell's Product Page - http://dell.to/2yzSu7o.

You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2u98Cct.

We are glad that you found some ways to help your computer run better for you. If you have additional questions about your computer you can visit our Product Support Page here: http://dell.to/2yzSu7o.

It is good for basic use but I won't recommend this for gamers and programmers. Screen resolution is ok(i did not like) but usually connect to external monitor.

I received my new computer and had it set up at Best Buy, however I haven't started using it yet because I need to save some documents from my old computer. I am excited to start using it because the one I'm using now is very old and very slow.

The laptop offers good functionality for someone who needs it for basic work (internet, word, excel). Lower quality camera and graphic card affect the time looking at the screen.

This is for those who want a machine for work but do not want to be tied down to a desktop. Even with the quite large screen it is still light to carry around. It has quit reasonable RAM abd Hard drive.

It is a Christmas gift so I can’t review it on it’s performance. However when I was researching it and comparing it to similar computers with similar properties it was hands down the better value. And it’s a Dell so how can you miss??

I wanted to down size my computer as the last one was a 17 inch, this is a 15.6 and is more that big enough. Its faster than the HP and weighs much less and works very well for what I need. I would buy another if I had to right away

This laptop is very for the price, you have a very good processor and ssd, but the build quality is not as good as the other laptops. For the price I wouldn’t expect a great build quality, but the specs on this computer are good.

It works well. Fast enough for what I need it to do. The touch pad is not good - like most touch pads. The only thing I wish was different would be a backlit keyboard.
