Good for the price

But there is no keyboard LED light display (not even for power button). So kind of annoying when you use it during night. The laptop material is flimsy.

Ok for novice, not for high end users

Full plastic body

As soon as I opened the carton and pulled the laptop out, I knew it wasn't a deal for me. I did not even fire it up. The entire body and screen cover are slick black plastic. I bought it since it was a bargain PC with good listed components. The body flexes when you pick it up with one hand. Sooner or later the case is going to crack. There wasn't a display PC and now I know why. I'm returning it to Best Buy. I have owned several Dell laptops and all were 1st class.

Great price$350 and speed but not FHD

I really liked speed but didn't like display. It is not FHD. Unfortunately, I severely underestimated how bad the scaling issues with Windows would be on a 15" screen. It actually wasn't that bad for general usage like Office products but I had to switch scaling for browser usage, other apps. So after messing with it for about 4-5 days I came to the conclusion the 4K scaling issues on a 15" screen were insurmountable and I had to go with a FHD 15".

Thank you for your review. Windows 10 in S mode is designed for security and performance, exclusively running apps from the Microsoft Store. If you want to install an app that isn't available in the Microsoft Store, you'll need to switch out of S mode. Switching out of S mode is one-way. If you make the switch, you won't be able to go back to Windows 10 in S mode. There's no charge to switch out of S mode.
1. On your PC running Windows 10 in S mode, open Settings > Update & Security > Activation.
2. In the Switch to Windows 10 Home or Switch to Windows 10 Pro section, select Go to the Store. (If you also see an "Upgrade your edition of Windows" section, be careful not to click the "Go to the Store" link that appears there.)
3. On the Switch out of S mode (or similar) page that appears in the Microsoft Store, select the Get button. After you see a confirmation message on the page, you'll be able to install apps from outside of the Microsoft Store.

Low quality but good price

OK Laptop

Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your computer is locking up on you. Here are some tips to help when your computer locks up:
1. Run a Computer Diagnostic. To determine if your computer is experiencing a hardware problem, run the Dell Preboot System Assessment (PSA) Diagnostics. For information on how to run Diagnostics, and to determine the issue, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2iaiujA.
2. Check Safe Mode for Symptoms. To boot into safe mode, please follow the instructions below:
a) Start the computer.
b) Tap 'F8' on the keyboard immediately and every one second until the Dell logo screen disappears. From there you will see the Windows Advanced Options Menu on the screen. (If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, restart the system and try again.)
c) Select Safe mode with Networking and press Enter.
d) Log on as the administrator or as a user with administrative access.
e) Open applications and test the computer in safe mode. If the symptoms exist in safe mode, please continue the troubleshooting steps in this article. If the symptoms do not exist in safe mode, the issue is likely related to a driver or software and you may wish to complete step 3 to see if you are able to resolve the lockups or freezing.
3. Check for Malware. Malware (Virus, Spyware, etc.) can definitely cause a Windows system to lock up or appear to hang. To check for malware on your system and to ensure that your computer is up to date on security software, visit Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2wWP1zI.

Don't waste your money

You get what you pay for!

This laptop felt like one of those laptops that you can find at the thrift stores, very cheaply made, low quality feel (this thing flexes as you pick it up, and not in a feats of strength type of way!), and weighs a TON. Spend the extra $200 and get yourself something that you would be proud to own and pack around campus all day.

Good basic laptop but poor screen quality

Bad hardware
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got two laptops, I ordered a geek squad certified open box excellent condition laptop, but it came with a scratch/denta and the touch pad is loose. The other one was open box excellent condition, but the windows OS was not activated and the speakers squeek at high volume. The hardware of both laptop isn't of good quality and the product finish too isnt great either. Will be returning both laptops.
