After reading the specs, I decided to give this Back Friday computer a try and it fulfill my expectations. Went back and my son got one too.

Decent laptop for everyday needs

Battery life is good for its screen size, lasts for more than 6 hours of normal usage. Got a good deal at BestBuy, so its a good buy. On the downside, its a bit heavier than other laptops of similar size, audio quality isn't great.

The set up was easy and the steps seemed logical. I know that it will do more than I have mastered, but day by day I discover new things. I love it!

Posted .Suhas, we regret that you've encountered slow speeds, Kyle. Check out these troubleshooting steps to help with speed - Delete temporary files and directories 1. Click Start, then in the search bar type "disk". Disk Cleanup should appear on the menu above the search box. 2. Run disk cleanup and eliminate unneeded temporary files (Search results, Internet Cache and other windows temp files you may no longer need) 3. Select files you want to delete then click OK to start the cleanup process. Uninstall applications you no longer use 1) Open the Programs and Features application in Control Panel. 2) Scan the list of applications installed for ones that you no longer use. 3) Highlight any application you no longer use and then click the uninstall button at the top of the list. Follow the prompts to uninstall. 4. Repeat for each application you want to uninstall. 5. Move large files and/or seldom used files to backup media (Photos, Music you seldom listen to, application downloads after the application has been installed etc.). 6. Empty the Recycle Bin. We encourage you to give us a call at 1 (800) 624-9897. Another great resource is Dell Supportassist, which can be located in the 'start' menu under 'all programs' in the Dell. Great Laptop for Daily Use

At price tag of $359 I was not able to find a better laptop deal during entire holiday season. There are some reviews of it being slow but that can be easily tuned up. It may not look great, but at the price tag it does it's job.

It had the features i was looking for, Processor speed I5, ram 8gb, 2tb hard drive and light weight. I am very pleased with my purchase and would buy again.

I did research the internet regarding “dependable” laptops and this one appeared more than once. Reviews indicated good ratings with the exception of speed. However it was also recommended that unnecessary programs should be deleted to greatly increase the speed. I will recommend that to my son.
