I'm still getting familiar with my new Dell laptop. I had an older, larger Dell that still had Windows 7. I'm loving lots of new capabilities and tech tricks. I had an initial session with a Geek Squad tech and learning new things everyday.

I love this Dell laptop. It replaces a laptop that was too big to put in my under seat bag on an airplane. It was also heavy for lugging around the airport. My new Dell laptop slips into my bag easily. It's light and user friendly. I won't go back to a desktop or a bigger laptop.

The Grey Metallic color is awesome. There is a joint on the longer edge of the keyboard surface . Usually in 15" the joint is towards the bottom of the edge behind the laptop. So when you use it on lap, this edge seems sharp.

I went into the store at least 5-6 times before I purchased looking and asking questions to make sure I had the right laptop for me. The staff was always very helpful and the laptop is great. I was worried about the screen being smaller than usual but that's not a problem at all.

I knew it was time to buy a new laptop when my old one (of 6 years!) was about to snap in half. I went to best buy in search of something smaller, had 2 in 1 capabilities, and really good hinges. My Dell Inspiron is all of those things as well as skinny and sleek--it's perfect.

Mydaughter needed a computer for college. She picked this one. Uses it ALL THE TIME MUCH better than the first one I bought her last year to make sure she would take care of it. Of course since she wanted the upgrade she is paying the monthly payment on this one!!!!

So far its a great laptop, battery life is great and it boots up really fast. It's primarily used for my photography when I travel, and the built in SD card slot was a major point for my purchase. Would highly reccomend!

I love that this computer is made of metal. It is light and super quick. It has facial recognition and everything I need. I do not like that you have to pay Microsoft to keep a banner with ads from running across the bottom of the screen. What a rip off!

I wish that when a person purchases a new computer that the sales team would discuss peripherals that may be new based on the computer capabilities. I didn't realize when I bought it that there was no cable connector port.

      Nikki,

Thanks for your review. We're sorry that the battery life of your computer is not living up to your expectations. We'd recommend the following tips to help extend your battery life:

      Change the Power Plan:

      1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
      2. On the options list, click Power Options.
      3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.

      a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
      b) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
      c) Turn Battery Saver On or Off.
      d) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
      e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
      f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.

I bought this because it said that it was made for windows ink so I assumed that you would be able to use it to draw...but it doesn't have a digitizing screen which I didn't know was a requirement for the pens

Have always had good luck with Dell PCs. Does exactly what I need for browsing and basic microsoft office usage. Looks nice and the screen is good. Don't use the touch screen a lot but it is very responsive and works as you'd expect a tablet to work.

I had a larger laptop from 2011. It took a little while to get used to this computer. It's very touchy. it does download a lot faster than the old laptop. It's getting easier to use every day that I use it.

So far, I have had it for a month. So far so good. No hiccups yet. This is a upgrade. I never used the Facial Recognition and a Solid State hard drive. It nice to actually use these features. As time goes on, I get a chance to test the durability.

This is the second one of these I bought. They are fast and light. Seems almost good as a macbook pro. For the same size mackbook, this on is a bit lighter and the screen is a bit bigger. There is less wasted space in the bezzel on this one.
