I really love this laptop as it suits the need that I am looking for. It is portable from its size and also light weight. The laptop is really fast during boot-up and has the ability to run many programs with ease. I would recommend this laptop to anyone who is looking to have a machine they can use on the go and or also attach to a docking station.

Although this computer is a small package, it is big on features. It is light enough to carry anywhere and has a ton of functionality.

Not bad with 4k video processing. I have a similar 2in1 with a gen 4 i7 and this is just as fast with the gen 8 i5. I am very happy.

Bought this Dell Inspiron for my 12-year old daughter who absolutely loves it. Touch screen features, lightweight and ability to fold/turn into a tablet, which is great for travel. A bit expensive but worth the cost in the end. Recommend this product if you want speed and versatility.

I was a little nervous about making the transition to a 13" screen from a 17 inch screen, but the clarity makes it fine for viewing and the nice light weight is such a nice change from my old "monster" laptop! Dell, as always, is very user friendly and I expect it to be dependable. Love the touch screen option and because I'm almost always where I can plug in, I haven't really tested the battery length yet. I will suggest that you NOT install the antivirus program that comes with the purchase (Trend Micro) and instead do your homework and find one that doesn't slow down the web browsing terribly. I use Avast and I've been very happy with it. I had to uninstall the Trend Micro and install Avast to find out that my "sluggish new computer" was actually lightening fast when not bogged down with an unwieldy antivirus app. Very glad that I purchased the Geek Squad coverage - I was able to drop off my old computer and have them completely set up the new one and transfer all the files from the old one for me. And I can go in anytime I want to ask questions, have help organizing and learning my laptop or trouble shoot issues. Wish I'd made the change sooner!

Had this laptop since Christmas. It is very fast and the SSD drive makes a huge difference in boot time. 1080P screen is nice too. Replaced a HP laptop from 5 years ago and this laptop runs circles around the old one and the screen is nicer. Battery life could be a little better, but for something small like this, it is adequate.

The computer is very capable, the 8th Gen i5 processor is smooth and fast, and the memory capacity is sufficient( although soldered and not upgrade-able). The battery does not have a super long life, but I knew this before buying so no need to fault it. It does get you a good 5+ hours of use, a bit more on ECO mode. The keyboard is also very good for typing, and the backlit keys are excellent. Boot time is very fast also, especially with the facial recognition login. Fit and finish is of quality and feels like a more expensive machine.
Only a few drawbacks I've found. The charging cable pin connector worries me, and feels like it's going to snap or bend the interior pin while plugging or unplugging. So be easy with it, or get a USB-C charging cable instead. You need both hands to open the lid easily, because the surface is slick and there is not some sort of notch or gap to pry the lid open. The screen could be a little brighter, but otherwise works just fine.
Overall a very good machine and well worth the price! and make sure you do ALL updates after purchase, including the BIOS update!

This laptop is perfect for school. It is light and very portable, making it easy to put in your backpack and carry around all day. It is also touchscreen and can be folded like a notebook, making it look like a tablet. This feature is great for using it for leisurely activities at home like watch movies and YouTube.

I am a grad student who is on the computer literally 10 hours a day for almost every day of the week so I demand a lot of use from my computer. I was really displeased with the speakers. They aren't good sound quality and they are on the bottom of the laptop so they are hard to hear if it is sitting on your lap. The battery life was by far the worst part. It would last like 5 hours at the absolute most. I would say for an average person who wants a little laptop and won't use it constantly this is fine. If you are anyone else, then don't buy this one. I will definitely be returning it.

Have had for a few weeks now and have had no real issues. Fan can be loud if the turbo kicks in and you are really doing intense stuff, but other then that no issues. I'm on it 8+ hours a day for work and have not noticed it getting hot even when I sit it on my lap for extended periods of time. Battery life is 7.5 to 8 hours and drops down to 6-7 hours when you hook a second monitor for dual screens.

I can't comment on some of the tech-type aspects of this laptop but I can tell you it is a definite improvement over my 8 yr. old Toshiba. I love the touchscreen aspect and the compact size. Seems fairly easy to navigate for someone who knows very little about computers.

We had a little trouble with some fan noise the first time we used it. Eventually that sound went away and has not returned. Fast, powerful, lightweight and has given us no issues. This is used for work and frequently connect to the work server and there are no issues with that.

Fast, stable and reliable windows 10 machine. Doesn’t slow down while running multiple applications. Battery last at least 7-8 hours for office work with internet. Would have given 4 stars but it can run a little hot in performance mode.

This replaced an older laptop. I had gotten used to working on a tablet when not really needing a computer. Although it's a little heavier than I would like, it has easily met my expectations as a tablet and PC in one. Good performance!

I had to replace my daughter’s laptop in an emergency. We found this latitude on sale at BB that evening. She picked it for the size and the keyboard, but after a few weeks of working on it, she’s grown to appreciate the performance (esp compared to her 3-yr old Yoga).

Overall I'm happy with this laptop. The screen is super bright and vivid, some laptops suffer from the display looking like it's washed out. The keyboard is also nice and responsive. The keys are spread apart a significant amount to keep dust and dirt from getting caught in it. The keys are also back-lit which makes typing in the dark easier. You can choose to turn this off to save battery life. While on the topic of Battery life, it's not super stellar. You can get maybe a few hours of use out of it before it is time to plug in.
The laptop is also a two in one and can function as a tablet by folding the keyboard behind, but the only time I use it as a tablet is when I'm reading comics or books. I've had the laptop for two months now and I have no major complaints about it. I would definitely pick it up if you need a machine for work and entertainment. It's light enough to carry around but still feels substantial.
