I got it in August when I joined college. It has some issues in touchpad and sometimes goes off without any reason.

The laptop in general works pretty good, but for me a HUGE problem is that there is radio interference when using headphones. As a DJ this is unworkable. Costs have DEFINITELY been cut with the sound on this laptop, especially the headphone output. There is a VERY noticeable high pitched interference on the left channel only. This comes and goes as the laptop enables/disables it’s internal amp, and it’s clearly a hardware issue with a ground loop or inducted noise or similar. It’s audible over music and changes with volume, so it’s introduced pre-amplifier. Honestly, I find it so annoying that I can’t use headphones for more than 5 minutes. I’ve tried it with multiple headphones and the noise is always intrusive to some degree. I’ve heard and read about others referring to this problem. Therefore, if you make a habit of using headphones with your laptop, I can only recommend that you look elsewhere than the Inspiron 7000 series. Yes the entire 7000 series, since I returned one (13-5378) before I bought this one and it had the same issue.

The Fan makes big sounds. When ever I run 2 program. Thought it is a high configuration laptop, but the experience is worst. It kills lot of your time and it is really a big pain. worthless buying this laptop. Neither Best buy nor Dell are helpful in solving the issue.

This laptop is full of problems. After completing configuration, started with freezing screens, no mouse response, and writing in the SSD like crazy. Fan worked like crazy too. Afterwards, got lots of BSOD. No way to fix it, even with Dell support.

I bought this PC new for my son as a High School graduation present in May 2017 so that he would have a reliable PC for college. I gave it to him in June 2017. In August 2017 he began to receive an AC Adapter error message and the PC would no longer charge. He took it in to the Geek Squad at a store near his school. They called him and said 'sorry, the error message still appears, but it now charges'. That is not an acceptable response. In the meantime, the PC is now again not charging and he continues to receive the AC adapter error message. I bought a 3 year Geek Squad Plan and they cannot fix it. I am having a difficult time getting them to provide me with either a new PC or fix the current one. I would never recommend this product to anyone.

After suggestion from the BestBuy sales rep, I decided to purchase the newest Intel Core I7. I've always owned a Dell however I'm extremely disappointed with my purchase. After just one month, my touchscreen stopped working. I've just spent 2 hours on the phone with Dell tech support and now I have to mail in my laptop as they've determined it has a faulty screen. I now have to be without my laptop for 2 weeks. They will repair and return to me. I asked for a new laptop and was told I cannot. I also had a problem with installing Microsoft Office within the first two weeks which I had to have Dell help me with also. I have always been loyal to Dell however after this experience, I will definitely go with a different laptop company in the future. Do not buy!!!!

Had this for a week. Had some minor issues but overall it was good until this Sunday. For some reason it errored on the login process after reboot continuously and you can't even get to login screen. Just imagine not even being able to login to get to the OS because the login process fails. And you can't reset the system unless you have a admin account and win10 doesnt create one so I had to do it via safe mode CLI etc etc. 4 hours later trying to fix it. I finally reset the OS to where it was from factory, lost all the apps I instlalled but was able to save any data I created on disk. I've been using Dell for last 15 years and put up with a lot but wasting 3 hours of my sunday, 1 week after I just got the laptop ... seriously ...

Been using it for a mere week, and the touch screen and touch pad already a pain. The screen sometimes recognizes the touch, sometimes does not, completely at random, making typing in the tablet mode a pain. The touch pad is even worse; it takes a second to respond. And even then it may or may not respond. So when reading something in the laptop mode, use the hardest click ever to move the bar at the left of the screen, touch may or may not work! And if you're in the tablet mode, good luck scrolling, and typing!!

I bought the previous model a year ago and Dell has replaced the SSD three times in four months. Their customer service support is poor. I suggest considering a different manufacturer and product.

Frame is broken and costs too much to be repaired, do not buy
