I bought an out of the box computer. It's only issue is the power cord is not the original one and it keeps telling me. Everything else is great

Most frustrating computer I've ever used.

This is the first review I've ever submitted. This computer is soooo frustrating that I felt obligated to express my opinion of this subpar product. It works fine 60 percent of the time but without warning starts acting up. After years of owning Apple and HP notebooks for personal use and using many other brands of laptops for work, I thought I'd done my homework on this one. The small size, touch screen and the Core i7 processor were the determining factors. Plus the fact that my Dad always liked Dell products. I saw a few poor reviews, but the good ones far outnumbered the bad reviews. HUGE mistake. I've never used a slower, more buggy computer. It started soon after I hooked it up. I kept getting a message that the ac adapter was incorrect. I'm on my third adapter now and still get the message. It constantly freezes or hesitates before resuming. I constantly get "not responding" messages and "slow script" messages. Pages take minutes to load. It's like it's 1994 and I'm using Mosaic to browse. It takes me 3 times as long as it should and usually occurs when I'm under a deadline. Many times, when I've experienced these problems, I've switched over to one of my older HP computers to make sure we weren't having network issues. The other computers worked perfectly. No issues at all. I'm sorry if this review seems like more of a frustrated rant. I'd love for this one to work well most of the time. I guess I just hope I can prevent someone from repeating my mistake. I'll never buy another Dell product.

Great laptop! I have been using it for years. I installed Linux on it in dual boot with windows. The drivers for Linux work well and I've had no problems.

Build quality is top notch. The outside LCD cover is an attractive mate black finish. Flipping open the display, you will first notice that the hinges are solid and provide nice feedback. One issue is the fact that the when flipped into tablet mode, the screen will not fold 100% back. The rotation is more like 358 & this creates an ever so slight gap at the top of the screen when you are in tablet mode which is awkward. The LCD screen is EXCELENT. There is NO leakage around the edges of the screen and color is great! Touch screen is perfect, with 10 point touch and very good overall responsiveness. I am typing on this keyboard right now and it’s comfortable. The thing I like best about this keyboard is that the left control key is exactly where it should be. One thing I do not like is the smaller sized backspace key, but it honestly not too much of an issue. The track pad is BAD! It sometimes misses scroll down gestures. It is livable, especially if you just use a USB wireless mouse and I suppose Dell had to cut costs somewhere. As for the inside palm rest area of the laptop, it screams luxury and tough IMO. Unfortunately, there are a few sharp edges here and there, but the whole device looks real sharp. Looking at the specs, I am very impressed. The unit comes with a core i7 with built in 5500uhd graphic which outperform the NVidia 840m, although just slightly. This laptop hardly has missed a beat and I have been running some intensive software. Unfortunately, the device does have single channel memory. The hard drive clicks like crazy, so an SSD replacement recommended. The built in speakers are good, but unfortunately, they point down so they get easily muffled. Overall, I really recommend this laptop and the price is right for what you are getting!

Initially I had gone into Best Buy to demo and possibly purchase the ThinkPad Yoga 14 (the newer model with the physical tactile TrackPoint buttons at the trackpad). While at Best Buy, we came across this Dell Inspiron 13 7352, and it is a gem! I've not been a fan of Dell in the past, but this is truly a great machine. The hardware and build quality are high-end. Solid aluminum body, diamond cut. The screen is gorgeous. The backlit keyboard has a nice feel and I do a LOT of typing throughout the day. The trackpad is the best I've ever used on a Windows machine. Fluid, responsive and simply a pleasure to work on. Its responsiveness and accuracy is comparable to my MacBook Air. It is, in fact, one of the main reasons I chose it over the ThinkPad. The ThinkPad scrolls with jumpy movements. No comparison to this Dell. The other reason was the price. It was on sale already for $799, but I grabbed mine as "Open Box" for an even better deal! No regrets. A few issues that you might come across but which are easily fixed: 1. The fan was very busy and loud, very frequently until I utilized the Dell firmware update which fixes the problem with the Intel chipset, especially after updating to Windows 10. It has worked quietly and perfectly since the update. 2.At certain points in the first hours and day of use, the machine seemed to lag and not display its true power. I was not sure I would keep it. I now believe this was due to its updating at the time and/or certain issues that existed within Windows 10 until the video driver was updated from Dell. Once all updates were completed and the machine was rebooted, it worked quietly and very, very quickly. 3. There was a little bit of bloatware that I wish Dell did not include, in particular, MacAfee anti virus software. Anti virus software is completely useless now with Microsoft's built-in, capable Defender. And MacAfee is invasive and should be uninstalled. This may also have been one of the reasons for the initial lag in the computer. It was among the first changes and updates I made to the machine. Other than these three things, and with them behind me now, I love this laptop. It screams, is VERY handsome and a very capable machine. And while I know an SSD would increase the speed even more, it honestly is not necessary. I'm going to stay with the spacious and capable 1TB hard drive. It really does not feel slow at all. One day I may switch it out, but for now I prefer to utilize the space. I'm glad I discovered this laptop. It's by far the best Windows machine I've ever owned and lacks nothing in the quality or stability my previous Macs have had. And yes, I switched from Apple to Windows after years of being an exclusively Apple user. I couldn't be happier with my choice.
