Not a year old and the hinge broke. Now my laptop is only attached on one side

One of the best performing laptops I have ever had. The build quality is a little flimsy which is why I didn't give the full 5 stars, but a very minimal detraction from how great it performs. Startups and restarts are really fast and the 2-in-1 tablet feature is awesome. The laptop is not lacking any connections for my use and are all in easy to access locations. The Core i7 with a bit extra RAM does well to run multiple programs with no frustrating delays. The screen viewing angles and brightness are better than expected and the touch feature is very receptive. I would definitely recommend purchasing this as a general use home laptop!!

Travel is starting back up for work, and the last thing I want to do is lug a huge 17 inch laptop around. This 14 inch laptop is a great compromise between a small 13 inch 2-in-1 and a large 17 inch business laptop. The screen and keyboard are large enough to work on without strain, but it's lightweight enough that I can throw it in a bag and not have to worry about throwing my back out. Performance-wise, I'm using this as a business machine, so no heavy graphics or processor-heavy games, so I can't speak to how fast it is for those purposes, but I'm able to run all of my business applications at one time and quickly switch between programs and windows without any noticeable lag. The screen is crisp and easy on the eyes, and the keyboard is one of the most comfortable I've used, with good amount of key travel and plenty of room for my fingers. The hinge seems solid, and it's nice to be able to use the tent feature to share my screen with coworkers or for an impromptu presentation. Because it is a touchscreen 2-in1, it would have been nice to have an included stylus for handwriting recognition or sketching on the go, but that's a minor complaint for a machine with this much going for it.

The Dell Inspiron 5000 is a good laptop for work and or school tasks. It has a sleek and stylish design making it look great and as a 2-in-1 you'll be able to fold it into a tablet for some versatility in how you use. Internally it has 16Gb RAM and 512Gb SSD memory storage so it's snappy and lighting quick when opening documents (word and PDF), e-books, presentations, and web pages. It has a FHD (1080p/60hz) screen and an Intel Iris XE graphics card so it can display and run some pretty good looking video/graphic design applications. However, as a far as video games go I ran Civilizations V and Sonic 2, they both ran well, but I wouldn't try running more graphics intense games since it's not meant for that. The only reason it loses a star is because the screen at FHD is only 60hz and not 120hz, and at the price it's going for it should be atleast 120hz. Overall it's a great choice for anyone wanting a productivity laptop that looks great and when needed can have some fun.

This first one I purchased had a faulty power cord and I had to retun it. The second one has faulty drivers. There will not be a third.

It’s hard to write reviews on computers because most of the opinion is on the software. I’m comparing my work laptop with this one. This laptop is extremely light and the picture is amazing. Obviously there is no noise because of the solid state drive. The thing that impresses me the most is the speed and the battery life. The first day I had it, it ran for about 14 hours! Overall, a windows machine but has amazing hardware installed. I feel like I have a $2000 computer in my lap but half the price. You can’t go wrong with this machine!

Received the dell laptop in perfect condition from Best Buy. Open it up, you get a charger and the laptop. When pulling this laptop out of the box you will notice how heavy this is. With a 14” screen I kind of expected it to be heavy but I was still sadened that Dell has yet to consider how to make this series more lightweight. For the everyday person, this is likely the laptop in a friendly budget range and offers the I7 with 64/512 memory. Plenty of power for any task. Ok so being so heavy the battery has to last FOREVER right? Ha! Once again Dell failed to get decent battery life. I was able to watch a movie and set it up, but couldn’t continue into the night. The display quality is great and I took it outside to test the reflection and didn’t see any issues. Screen was vibrant. I would like to see a mid range LIGHTWEIGHT laptop come from Dell. Most of my use will be carrying and I’m more likely just leave it behind unless I absolutely need it. I would recommend because it’s a nice laptop with great features. I just wish it was lighter or I gained great battery life at the expense of it being heavy. I still think this laptop will fit most people’s lifestyle and if you are using at home it’s perfect. Only had this laptop for about a week now but it's perfect as a day to day laptop, fast and responsive with a clean display and great battery life. I originally thought I'd hate the touch screen and 360 degree rotation, but over the last week I've actively tried to use it and am enjoying it much more than expected. definitely happy with this laptop

Short and sweet: This is a powerful laptop with a gorgeous screen that performs bigger than its size. It has, for a laptop, a wonderful keyboard with great feel, touch-typing is a breeze. The touch pad requires only a light touch and has buillt-in left and right buttons [depress the sides]. The screen, at 14", is gorgeous and sharp, videos look great. Although I prefer a larger screen, 15" minimum & 17" is better, I'd much rather keep this laptop at hand than lug the extra bulk and weight, esp when travelling. 2 USB ports, a USB-C / Thunderbolt port, Micro SD and HDMI ports? Yes! The touchscreen functions accurately even with my sausage fingers, Did I mention that wonderful keyboard? Simple: bang for the buck this is a winner. You don't have to lug a heavy bulks laptop around for great connectivity and performance. Give your shoulder a break. Buy this!

Worst laptop. Crashing everytime. Unable to reset the laptop also.

First off I love it when you do not need to have it on your lap you flip the screen around and now you have a tablet. Not just neat for super responsive and when you do have the space and just want to sit and relax while you surf the web or watch videos flip it back out into the lpatop form and you are all set. It has enough memory for what is needed on day to day bases. It offers a fast easy way to log in with just the touch of a button key that recognizes your finger print but at the same time it offers the option to input a password incase your fingers are not looking their best. This 2 in 1 is perfect for those virtual meetings and it even comes with a built in camera block off. Overall you get enough memory and a very resposive computer.

I love this Item it works awesomely and it does everything that I need it to do and then some I'm definitely enjoying the Dell Inspiron touch screen laptop computer very much.

I bought this 2in1 about 4 months ago. Overall, it is very good. However, there are two things that do bother me and did not know when I bought. First, you cannot use a pencil when used in tablet mode (huge disappointment). And, the battery life does not really last, especially when gaming or streaming videos. The laptop needs to stay plugged in more than any other older equipment I own. If these are important to you, look somewhere else. I kept it and am satisfied, but not delighted as I wished, considering the price tag.

Excellent laptop, faster performance. I have used it for more than a month now and still love using it. Good speaker so watching movies is enjoyable.

I purchased this as an Open Box - Certified product. It arrived in its original box. Not as neatly packed as a brand new product but I have no regrets because I saved about $300. So far, it has met my expectations. But I noticed that the start up is slower than my old Inspiron 7386 even though this is an i7 compared to the i5 of my previous laptop.

I had fantastic help from the sales girl when purchasing the perfect laptop for my husband. She went above and beyond. I left the store feeling very satisfied with my purchase. Did not try to sell me a more expensive product that I did not need. It is his first laptop. He uses it everyday for pure relaxation playing games. Mush needed in the world these days. Thank you.

This was the most expensive laptop I have ever bought. Its SSD died first. I get it fixed. A few months later, it died for good. I have a desktop that I use at home. I used this laptop for like an hour or less every day at school.
