    The Worst Laptop you'll ever choose in your life

    Sincerely guys it will work greatly and you'll fell you purchased the best laptop in the world What actually happens is, it will work perfectly in the beginning, then later on after 4-5 months, you'll get network issues, software issues and so on... At this point even if you purchased a laptop with a 2 year protection plan as well, what BestBuy/Dell say is "SIR YOU HAVE A 1 YEAR WARRANTY FOR ACCIDENTAL SUPPORT ONLY, BUT THIS IS RELATED TO SOFTWARE AND YOU HAVE TO PAY $240+TAXES" So my sincere suggestion would be to buy a MACBOOK, or any other laptop if you can pay for this much NEVER BUY THIS LAPTOP AND NEVER TRUST THESE WARRANTIES

      Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear that your support has not been what you had hoped it would be for your Dell computer. If you need to diagnose any Blue Screen Errors that you're receiving, you can follow these steps:

      1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type "problem reports".
      2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software.
      3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly.
      4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.

    I have had so many issues with this laptop. Basically for the most part a very expensive paperweight. Contacted Dell a few times, paid extra for the service warranty, still get the blue screen of death whenever I need to use the PC.

    I really am not happy with this computer. When you type it back tracks all the time. I have had Geek Squad service it and they say there is nothing the matter but I have to backspace all the time and retype.

    This is definitely not worth the price. The keyboard is low quality. The mouse pad is the worst I have ever used. Way to pricy for the overall quality and performance.

    I'm really happy with the purchase, it's a really good notebook, excellent performance, and looks (if you're into that kind of things). PROS: - Performance, I'm a software developer and it's more than enough for the job. - 4K screen: I never owned one and I can see why some people love it so much. I haven't had any issues at all like some people say with the resolution, even with transitions to tablet mode an back everything works like a charm. - Precision Trackpad which allows gestures and it's good, maybe the best I've had in a PC. -Fingerprint sensor is fast and nice to have a sensor that you don't need to swipe, which makes it much more slow. - Brings a pen which I don't need really, but it's great to mess around with it at the very least. CONS: -The biggest drawback I'd say it has, is the weight... I think it's kind of heavy for the size it has, but this is due to the metal frame I presume, which while making it heavy, it also gives it the sturdiness some laptops lack of. -The battery might be an issue for some people that are on the go, it might last about 5 hours so keep that in mind. To sum up, I'd totally recommend this to friends, specially if you're not that business man that is constantly travelling around the country/world. PS: I got a really great deal with the open box certified, 300 dollars discount at the time, and the laptop is in incredible condition, not to mention everything works perfectly.

    Our company Internet technician has worked this LT for a week on line trying to upload my email server and backup. Having a proble with the speed. A transfer that should take about one hour was running over night and would stop updating. I shipped the LT to Boston for the updating and the Technician found the WiFi not working properly. I will be returning to the local store today.

      Thanks for your review. We're sorry that this computer was not working properly. If you'd like assistance with the connectivity on your computer we'd recommend these steps:

      1. Download and install the latest Wireless Card driver. (https://dell.to/2th3Tpe) After updating the driver, re-establish the connection with the Wireless Access Point and check the wireless performance.
      2. If the issue persists, proceed to step 3.
      3. Power-cycle the local network. Shut down the Dell system, the Wireless Access Point/Router and the Modem. Wait a minimum of 60 seconds before powering up the components in the following order:
      4. Power ON the Modem, and wait for it to boot fully.
      5. Power ON the Wireless Access Point/Router, and wait for it to boot fully.
      6. Power ON the Dell system.
      7. Open Network and Sharing Center
      8. In the left side navigation pane, click on Change Adapter Settings
      9. Right click on the wireless connection icon and select Properties followed by the Configure button
      10. Under Wireless Options, select the Wireless N mode
      11. For Windows 8 or later systems click the Advanced tab and look for 802.11n Mode on the right you will be given the option to Enable or Disable. If the mode is not visible you may need to update your drivers and firmware.
      12. From the drop-down menu, choose Disable followed by Ok
      13. This should restore the wireless download and upload speed. Internet speed can be tested at http://speedtest.net.

    This is worst laptop ever I have bought. I am not going to recommend anyone to may any of the DELL laptop again. I bought is for my self for work but due the issue with this most of the times it does not work and if it works my kids use for browsing and gaming. I spent huge money on it but it's not worth! Do NOT make the mistake.

      1. Close all open windows.
      2. Press the Windows logo key + X key on the keyboard.
      3. Click Control Panel.
      4. Click System and Security.
      5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems.
      6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.
      7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process.
      8. Restart the PC.

    2nd attempt at this Computer

    Purchased the 1st one and immediately had issues during set up- blue screen stated video issue. Was glitchy the entire time. Finally set up and then noticed one of the 2 USB ports not working. Tried all the updates, Called Dell Support, India logged in rep went thru another group of installs etc , then the other USB drive also non working.. I use the computer for work so decided to try to exchange it as they had 1 other in stock and really nothing else that compared to the specs needed. This 2nd one is completely different than the first! It is just beautiful. All set up went flawless and fast and have had no USB issues or any issue. I am on the Holiday warranty period so have until Mid Jan if there is a need to return. I sure hope not and so far, so good, The picture is great, a fast performance I love it so far! Suggestion- do not get this in an open box- it may be the one I took back...

    I've had good luck with Dell laptops and desktops until this one! We have been using this laptop for less than a month and it won't power up! Nothing! DEAD! Buyer beware of this one!! Terribly disappointed as this was purchased to aid a disabled person.

      Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear that your computer is not working the way that you hoped it would. We'd recommend the following tips to help your computer turn on again:

      1. If the computer is displaying the Dell logo and does not move past that point, it has probably failed POST.
      2. If the power indicator lights up and it is amber or orange, this is usually an indicator that it has failed POST.
      3. If you see text on a black screen, the computer is currently performing the POST. If the computer stays in that condition and does not move past it, it has probably failed POST.
      4. If the video screen displayed anything at all during the startup process but is now black, this probably indicates that the computer failed POST.
      5. If the computer is beeping or if Caps/Num/Scroll Locks are flashing, note if there is a particular pattern in which it beeps or flashes.
      6. If the computer is not beeping and caps/num/scroll locks are not flashing, unplug all connections and remove all media communication devices (e.g. external monitors); reconnect one at a time and check if the computer functions.
      7. For a notebook, press and hold the Fn key and then press the power button. This starts the pre-boot testing and will launch ePSA. In case you have a Desktop at the Dell logo screen tap the F12 key to enter One Time Boot Menu and use the arrow keys to highlight Diagnostics and press enter.

    Good laptop, but damaged one handed over to me

    I am totally unhappy with bestbuy in giving me a damaged product. The screen was not proper and I stared noticing a white patch when the laptop was booting. I worked with dell to get this sorted out

    Randomly shut down

    After a year of using it as a college student. Laptop started to shut down by itself and wouldn't turn back on. This is honestly a waste of money and high dont recommend this.
