This would be several stars higher IF Dell had better quality control or customer support. I have had 3 units all with problems(1 with hard drive failure, 1 with no working USB ports, and 1 with a cracked screen after 6 weeks). It was also fun spending over an hour on a call to India with someone who barely spoke English to find out the 1 year warranty doesn't cover anything.

    Low Quality, High Price

For the cost of this product the overall quality is very poor. I had two large issues with this product. Number one being the fact that no matter what was done to the laptop, it could not detect any wireless networks. The Second issue being the windows button that is built into the bottom of the display. The overall quality of the device was so poor that when that button is used it causes the entire display to bend and discolor in the bottom center. I purchased this laptop to be used for photo viewing and editing because of the 4K display. Looks like I will be reverting back to my Macbook and a 4K television.

My wife and I bought this lap top, it looked like it would do everything we needed and then some. But we ended up having to bring it back three times before we switched to a different lap top.

I usually like Dell products but this one was bad out of the box. I guess that is why we have a few days to test it at home before the purchase is final. Cheers to Best Buy folks who graciously accepted it back. As for why I did not simply swap for another Dell, I went along with the group opinion that I should have bought an HP in the first place. Go figure. I still recommend the product to a friend because I believe that 9 out of 10 times the sale would have been completed.

    Terrible laptop

This laptop has given me nothing but trouble. Its great initially when you have just done factory restore. However in just a couple of days, it gets sluggish and unusable. In over 3 years, I have never found it useful or quick enough to get anything done. The design and build quality are great but there is definitely some hardware conflict that keeps it from performing to even 10% of its full potential.

    A Piece Of ...

1 bought a Dell Inspiron in February 2016. It is now April 11th, 2016, and I've had Geek Squad remote evaluate it once, multiple error msgs for a screen display driver issue, it freezes in the middle of research projects, does not start on multiple occasions, and the dreaded blue or white screen on multiple occasions. A complete waste, I repeat waste, of my $1200.00. I'm taking this back and buying an Apple iMac; which is what I should've done in the first place.

I bought this computer over the summer and have mainly used it for classes at my university. One day while typing notes my computer the HD crashed on me and I am now getting it swapped from a repair shop. I hate that I have owned a cheap laptop for 5 years and this one broke in 4 months doing the exact same thing. I would not have bought this one for that price to fail in a few months. What a wast of money.

I was looking specifically for a touch display machine that I could use a Pen with the touch screen. The salesperson promised that I could with this machine. After purchasing two different pens from DELL I am now told that there is not a pen that will work with the Ultra High Def display that this machine has.

In less than 20 months, I replaced the battery (twice) and the charging port before finding that the motherboard was bad. This laptop was subjected to only minimal use in ideal conditions. The motherboard cost is about the same to replace so I will buy another brand today.

    Great Laptop... Update the Drivers

    Posted .

I guess I'm old school... The first thing I do with ANY computer I buy or build is go to the Manufacturers website (Dell) in this case, and update all of the drivers and BIOS. This typically cures all the ills with most computers. Microsoft uses their OWN drivers and they can be years out of date or just plain wrong VS the manufacturer drivers. Microsoft is at best Guessing what will make your computer work, on 85% they get it right. This laptop falls solidly in the 15%. If you want a computer that you never have to worry about drivers get a chrome book or a MAC. I would knock off a star for the pathetically slow 1 TB hard drive but for $650 I plan to replace it as soon as my new 500 GB SSD drive gets here. As far as video performance it's not an XPS or Alienware so don't expect to be able to game in 4K on this laptop. Turn the resolution down by half and you can play some games on it. The 4K screen is just awesome! Perfect for watching Movies and UHD video. Seems like it will have more than enough power to do some basic photo editing too. Will update if I am disappointed with it later.

Purchased and would not boot passed first screen and even went the extra mile and took time out of my days to take it to geek and nothing. Stated they there was a replacement plan but they would only refund my money but not my time.

It was really bad experience with the Dell 7568, I had many issues starting from lagging videos, color inaccuracy and slow booting. After complaining to dell, Dell replaced the product with different Inspiron model.

The display driver does constantly crash. Dell was zero help in the matter. I had to fix it by myself. Very ANGRY at Dell support and the fact that this computer was so expensive when it has such problems
