While typing, the cursor just arbitrarily jumps to different parts of the screen. It makes composing emails and documents very frustrating. I took it in to Best Buy during the return period and they told me to avoid touching the mouse pad and to decrease the sensitivity of the mouse pad. I did that - it did not work. I have contacted Dell - they took me through an update -- the update did not work. As of today, I am waiting to schedule a replacement of the mousepad by a Dell technician. Too much frustration for a new laptop that cost $1,300. Other than that, I would have given it 5 stars. I need this for work and it is just disappointing. Glad I purchased the protection plan as I don't have much confidence in it's longevity at this point.

Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about the touchpad issues that you've had so far. We hope that your replacement touchpad will work better for you. Re-calibrating your touchpad should have helped, if you'd like to try to re-calibrate again you can follow these steps:
Some Notebooks and Tablets with Keyboards have added gesture features to the touchpad hardware and drivers. A few of these features are two or three finger scrolling, pinch zoom, circle zoom, rotate and swiping. These new features may be the reason for the erratic cursor movement since most are turned on by default. You can disable or modify the way the features work in the touchpad driver properties. Here are some tips to modify these settings:
1. In the Search box, type main.cpl.
2. Touch or click main.cpl in the list of programs.
3. Touch or click the Dell Touchpad tab.
4. Touch or click on the picture of the touchpad.
5. Touch or click Gestures (depending on your computer there may not be a Gestures option).
6. Change the options as preferred.
7. Touch or click Save.
8. Touch or click the X in the upper-right corner to close the Dell Touchpad Utility.
9. Touch or click OK on the Mouse Properties window.
10. If the touchpad still does not work after following the preceding steps, refer to Dell Knowledge Base article - http://dell.to/2iaiujA.

The mouse doesn’t always register so you have to touch the screen to complete a task. Other than that it runs pretty smoothly.

This Dell Inspiron checked off all of my boxes. Fast I7 10th Gen processor runs fairly cool and really fast. 16GB of RAM runs everything without missing a beat. The 1 TB SSD is fast. Startup takes about 15 seconds. This device will handle anything you throw at it. I highly recommend.

I have not been able to get the finger print option to work. It does not like to recognize my finger. I have had issues with it not wanting to turn on. I have only used it for school work at this time. I can't wait to try watching a move on it.

This computer with the stylus and OneNote is great, and the screen is very clear. It's large enough to see an entire class of people, although I do have an external monitor just in case. It's also very fast with the i7 processor and boots up quickly.

The only con is not with the computer but with Dell support for this device. I needed to replace the stylus since I bought it open box and the specific stylus pen that came with this model is not available. Very strange for computer that came out just last year. Other than that I love this computer and highly recommend.

I was iffy at first because of the price $1300. I promise you this computer is worth every single penny. I am in love with this computer. The keys are easily reachable, Camera is great, runs very fast. I love the area to hold my pen so I do not lose it. The 2 in 1 feature is amazing.
