    Freezes and makes weird sounds after 2 days of use

    Just bought this expensive laptop and it freezes and makes weird sounds after 2 days of use. Neither the touchpad, nor the screen touch work when it's frozen. Note: All the drivers are up to date, I also have run scans. Very-very dissapointed. Not good for the price. I am upset, because the look and feel of it is premium, but don't be fooled!

      Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about the issues that you're having with your computer so far. We'd recommend the following steps if your computer continues to freeze:

      1. Run a Computer Diagnostic. To determine if your computer is experiencing a hardware problem, run the Dell Preboot System Assessment (PSA) Diagnostics. For information on how to run Diagnostics, and to determine the issue, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2iaiujA.
      2. Check Safe Mode for Symptoms. To boot into safe mode, please follow the instructions below:
      a) Start the computer.
      b) Tap 'F8' on the keyboard immediately and every one second until the Dell logo screen disappears. From there you will see the Windows Advanced Options Menu on the screen. (If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, restart the system and try again.)
      c) Select Safe mode with Networking and press Enter.
      d) Log on as the administrator or as a user with administrative access.
      e) Open applications and test the computer in safe mode. If the symptoms exist in safe mode, please continue the troubleshooting steps in this article. If the symptoms do not exist in safe mode, the issue is likely related to a driver or software and you may wish to complete step 3 to see if you are able to resolve the lockups or freezing.
      3. Check for Malware. Malware (Virus, Spyware, etc.) can definitely cause a Windows system to lock up or appear to hang. To check for malware on your system and to ensure that your computer is up to date on security software, visit Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2wWP1zI.

    I will never buy Dell or anything from Best Buy

    One year to the day I get locked out of my computer by bitlocker for who knows why. I don't. Apparently bitlocker was automatically activated. But I was not given the 48 digit key. It was supposed to be on Microsoft's website. But it wasn't. It cost me $108 to have my computer wiped and Windows reloaded by Best Buy. Yeah, no thanks to you either Best Buy. I will look elsewhere for future purchases. This should have been free. Not to mention the inconvenience it caused.

    I purchased this laptop on August 2020 to do my college assignments, after 11 months the touchpad it wasn’t working, the cursor drifts without me touching anything, leading me to click on the wrong things. I sent the laptop to Dell and they returned me the laptop fixed (supposedly). Now the screen just went dark and wouldn't come back on. Very frustrating, I lost my money.

    I tried TWO of these laptops. Both did not have working webcam/mike. I exchanged the first one for the same. Both had issues. Best Buy was GREAT. Dell service SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY unless you don't need the webcam/mike.

      If the device is a headset with microphone you must have the Wave MaxxAudio Pro application installed and then select "headset" as the device in order for the headset microphone to work.

    Constant freezing

    I read the reviews before buying and thought it had to be an over exaggeration on how often this computer freezes. Because of the great specs at a good price we decided to purchase it. The issues on other reviews were not an over exaggeration, my daughter needed this for school and from day 1 it froze at least once a day by day 10 it was freezing up about 3 times a day. Returned it and bought an HP.

    Computer barely lasted a year. One time the screen just went dark and wouldn't come back on. Geek Squad told me it was likely the motherboard and that they've seen this on numerous laptops. Unfortunatlely it was a month out of warranty, so I am on my own. Switched to Levano and am happy with the new product.

    this computer is awful the camera does not work no amount of troubleshooting ( hours upon hours ) I have tried repeatedly to call Best Buy for tech assistance but the store does not answer the phone the automated system keeps the customer on hold I live 2 hours away from the store so can not just go for help I am going back to return the computer

    Do not know the value of my purchase due to your Geek squad's inept ability to transfer information to the new computer. They lost over one half of my files. I wish I had never paid over $200. for their service. I gave made several trips back without resolution. I feel I have been taken advantage of.

    The mousepad would stop working intermittently constantly day 1 out of the box. The laptop itself was very fragile. Dell customer service is the worst I have EVER interacted with. Do yourself a favor and NEVER, under ANY circumstance, purchase a Dell product.

    This laptop got knocked off immediately after 1 year of purchase. I lost my data. Had to spend another $200 to get Geek support however data is not recovered ! This product is not worth the money !

    The laptop display has problem. Sometimes The image of the computer randomly gets noisy and the icons displace and the mouse cursor gets out of control.
