No good don’t buy this series

Dell is Swell
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is an excellent unit. Bought it open box for very good price. Would buy again. The only problem was the glass screen was separating from the aluminum frame, and would be a problem to repair; otherwise I would have kept it. I returned it to Best Buy. I like the story of Michael Dell, and Dell computers are excellent.

Some flaws but good value

My only complaints are the lousy keyboard material which feels weirdly cheap (not smooth) and the sizable bezel on the bottom side of the screen. Even worse it sometimes gets hot and the fan would start running for no reason (no updates, no apps open) like a turbojet and take ages to calm down. System reset doesn't fit it. Other times it's silent - very unpredictable in terms of noise - but in any event there's no excuse to be this loud and hot at light loads... yikes

Update the BIOS: An out-of-date BIOS can cause loud fan noises by having an outdated temperature table for the system. Refer to update BIOS and follow the instructions to update the BIOS on your computer.

Screen broke soon after purchasing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screen broke 2 months after purchase and it takes almost a month to repair under the warranty. It was barely used and never dropped or damaged. Suggest getting a different laptop.
