I really like the specifications of this laptop and, in general, I’m happy with it. The touchscreen is great, the laptop is fast, the 2-in-1 capability is great, and I like Windows 10's facial recognition, Cortana, and even the new browser Edge. However, I have experienced a few cons during this first month: (1) Battery life is not as good as expected: far less than three hours, with multiple browser windows open, but no games or videos. (2) The laptop overheats. (3) I have had problems sometimes with a click sound when I run videos or audios. (4) The microphone is not good, so when using skype people can hardly hear me (and I cannot figure out where it is located). (5) I already knew this when I bought this laptop, but it has resulted more inconvenient than expected: the laptop only has two USB ports, no CD/DVD player, and no numeric pad, which limits multitasking and becomes uncomfortable. I.e. when I want to see a DVD movie in bed, I have to connect an external DVD player. Other example: I like to use a regular mouse because I have sometimes problems with the pad, so, with the mouse and my cooler connected to the USB ports, I cannot connect my external hard drive or my external DVD player. So, I would recommend this to a friend, but I first would tell him/her about these issues.

The laptop has crashed almost 20 times a day!!! Am considering returning it.

Slow slow computer. I want to pull my hair out. Crashes a lot.

Had to bring second unit back a few times, hardware & software issues.

Bought it as a college computer. Took it home and in less than 10 days the computer crashed and gave the blue screen of death. The CPU ran hot and the fan ran constantly. Luckily, it was within the return policy guidelines and I was able to return it.

Returned the computer the minute I received it. This was an "open box" item that should have been labeled "opened and beat up". It was missing the power cable and was very dirty. It looked like it's been used for a while and then returned.

I have purchased that laptop after recommendation and reviews on line. For some reason 2 days ago it stopped working and now I am stuck with no computer at work. Hope the customer service is better..

Not happy with this laptop. Returned twice. Both laptops had connectivity issues. Couldn't connect to 5G router and slow speeds connected to 2.4. Won't purchase a Dell again.

My older Dell ran Windows 10 for a couple of years, Then it crashed. I bought a newer Dell with Windows 10 a month ago, it too has crashed. I returned it for an Apple.

This was my first major computer purchase in many years. I decided to go all out and get a fully loaded 2 in 1. Plenty of RAM, a nice size SSHD. Light and super easy to use. Opened the box, turned it on and within a mere few minutes I was totally up and running. No problems, no delays, up and running in minutes. It does exactly what I need and is super easy to operate. Screen resolution is fantastic, and the speed with a solid state hard drive is fantastic. This is computing like we all want it to be. My only minor complaint is that I miss having a separate number keypad.

Smooth to operate and a fast machine. It's sleek and the hd screen is great. Sound quality is good and webcam is good for skype etc.Mouse pad is really nice to scroll and the back-lit keys are a nice add on. I thought the screen size being so big, I wouldn't use it much in the tab mode but when the hands get tired of using the mouse pad, the touch screen is nice to have on the tab mode. Windows 10 is easy to navigate. The battery gives around 4-5 hours on full charge as per your use.

Performance is very good, nice design and awesome touch screen.

Hi, I saw many laptops before I bought this one in Dell only. I had many issues with those previous one's. When I went to Bestbuy to see the laptops I found this one. Its looking pretty cool and good specifications. In my mind I thought to buy this laptop and then observe for a week. Its been still 10days in my hands. Really, this one works well.By comparing the price range also it will equal to Dell XPS laptops with 12gb ram and 512gb SSD. I'm feeling very happy after purchasing this one.

Still have it 8 years later and it's still working great, the battery did have to be replaced and is still not functioning at it should, but when it's plugged in it's working amazing!

I'm very impressed with my Dell Inspiron. First off, it was the best priced 512 gb solid state drive laptop on the market. But what pleased me more were the excellent graphics, great keyboard and ease of set-up. This is a great machine and a great value.

I had this laptop for yrs just got ride of it and now i wish i would have kept it. It was a very good laptop and worked fine.

1. The laptop doesn't really sit level. the right side of lap top pushes down against the table when you press it or go to type, which is kind of annoying. 2. when you shake the laptop a little I can hear a slight noise of something moving 3. For being a high end laptop and SS drive, it actually heats up without much use and gets loud. Other than this, I like it. Works fast. looks really good. I want to love it but those few issues are holding me back.

Great computer/Tablet. Lightning fast and very easy to use for a great price. Very impressed by this.

I purchased this laptop for our new Director of Business Development who was looking for a 2 in 1 computer. He wanted a powerful laptop for all of the writing and presentations that he'd be doing but also something that would convert into a tablet while traveling. He has done nothing but praise his new computer. It was also nice that we were able to get it on sale!
