While the 100% foldback is a cute gimmick, I can see no real utility in it. However, as a laptop, at the sale price getting a 512G SDD, and 12G of memory was pretty good. While I doubt very much the person I got it for really needs an i7, the price point was virtually identical with i5 models so that will just be a bit of future proofing.
