Very average, at best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.On day 1 had difficulty downloading software purchased directly from Dell for my new Inspiron. Contacted Dell - their technology support team was not helpful at all - had to 'revert to/use/pay a third party to install the software. They also had to cleanup the corrupt software and programs that came with the new computer, software and programs that prevented the download of the software purchased from Dell, as referenced above. Thereafter, Dell refused to reimburse me for charges incurred by me and with it also refusing to honor their warranty. And yes, lesson learned, albeit too late, as the Inspiron was purchased to replace a Latitude machine that fried the hard drive the day before. No more Dell machines for me!

Great, until it just cut off with no warning

Not worth the money

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 of these laptops and one has been working ok but the more expensive one with more RAM has been terrible. Both had speaker issues right out of the box. Makes a weird noise on start up for no reason at all. I even exchanged it twice and it still does it. Had to replace the battery on the more expensive one twice, still have not on the cheaper one. Now the network card is dead on the more expensive one. Dell is a joke. Wont buy anything from them again.

Machine Crashed

Dell agreed to replace it under the warranty, but not sure how smooth that is going to go just yet. It was working fine one day and completely dead, wouldn't power or or do anything the next day. All information was completely lost (I'm still trying to figure that part out given the solid state drive). Geek Squad couldn't give me any information on what went wrong, so I can't tell you what the real issue is/was, but wanted everyone to be aware. Other than that it had been a pretty good laptop.

Disappointment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My wife has an older (about 5 years) Dell and she has been happy with it but the power port began to malfunction. After trying a new power cord, thinking it may fix the issue, and a Best Buy employee stating the fix could be nearly as expensive as a new computer we began looking at newer Dell products, we looked for a week or so, that fit our budget and exceeded her demand. We chatted with a representative and decided to go with the 12G instead of the 16G because the 12G was said to be more than enough. Within a day or so of the purchase we left home on a two week trip and depended on the "Starlord" for our streaming and various tedious task's that could have been performed on either of our cell phones or tablet. The device worked well streaming though Firefox would not perform the task thankfully Explorer did, Firefox seems to be very slow (imploding, lagging, crashing...) while typing emails my wife had to slow down so the computer could catch-up, she is not a typist but does far exceed my skill level. Since the "set-up" performed by Geek Squad at the place of purchase streaming movies has not been possible, we verified the connection and site function on another device. We figured this device should far exceed our daily use of e-mails, social media, googling, and the streaming of movies a few times a week, at most, but as for now I am happier with my Satellite L755 than she is with her Starlord. If someone from Dell reads this and would like to give us some support as what to do to improve the function of the product that'd be cool, we do want to be happy with the device.

Dell Laptop
