Problem with wireless and Dell won't help

Called Dell support thinking I had a warranty and nope, no help unless you pay for a support package. Unbelievable. Will hopefully return it and not buy any more Dells. Very frustrating as I have spent many hours getting my data over and troubleshooting the problem.

The case was too large for the keyboard and its' appearance was certainly not pleasing to the eye. Overall, a big disappointment and was simply bought too quickly because it was on sale as an "open box" item.

A thousand dollars is NOT cost-effective for this device.

Several drivers were supposed to be outdated and need to purchase current drivers. I will take the laptop back to Best Buy to correct the problem.

I wanted an alternative to Apple products used mostly for browsing, email, word processing, spreadsheet work and photo manipulation. This thing is quick on my WIFI, loads up lightening fast and is extremely functional. I never really considered a touch screen but it is great. I have all but stopped using a mouse (I am not really a track pad person) and implement the touch screen and track pad almost exclusively. Maybe if I get into more heavy spreadsheet work I will use a mouse but not at this time. Got a real deal on pre Black Friday for $899. The Best Buy prices bounced around from $900-1000 for a couple of days so I hit it at a low.

Design is great, sleek, and powerful. Has windows hello, hd screen and a 2 in 1. However it only has 2 USB ports. I wish dell would added more ports. Fast boot up with ssd, and a good backlight keyboard. However after a week of use, when I would hold the laptop and walk you could here a sound. Now this is when it is off. It seems that something is moving inside or it could be from the manufacture. So I returned it and sought to get the replacement. They opened the replacement and when they shaked it the same sound came from it. The best buy rep seemed to say its nothing and it does not matter where I presented this laptop to a computer engineer at my school, who told be its should not be doing that. Now the one on display did not have the defect. But it is amazing that a laptop of this power has this defect. So to wrap up, if you want to buy this laptop make sure to shake it. Seems weird but you don't want to end up loosing your money

Posted .- Satish, Thanks for your recent Dell laptop purchase. We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your computer not turning on. Here are a few tips for your device: 1. If the computer is displaying the Dell logo and does not move past that point, it has probably failed POST. 2. If the power indicator lights up and it is amber or orange, this is usually an indicator that it has failed POST. 3. If you see text on a black screen, the computer is currently performing the POST. If the computer stays in that condition and does not move past it, it has probably failed POST. 4. If the video screen displayed anything at all during the startup process but is now black, this probably indicates that the computer failed POST. 5. If the computer is beeping or if Caps/Num/Scroll Locks are flashing, note if there is a particular pattern in which it beeps or flashes. 6. If the computer is not beeping and caps/num/scroll locks are not flashing, unplug all connections and remove all media communication devices (e.g. external monitors); reconnect one at a time and check if the computer functions. 7. For a notebook, press and hold the Fn key and then press the power button. This starts the pre-boot testing and will launch ePSA. In case you have a Desktop at the Dell logo screen tap the F12 key to enter One Time Boot Menu and use the arrow keys to highlight Diagnostics and press enter. Bought on sale at $100 off ($899) versus $2700 for a similar new MacBook Pro. Appearance attracted me, features & price sold me. I purchased a Dell 13" i7 version for my wife last year. I'm going through a learning curve with Win 10, after four years with Apple OS. Only issue, overly sensitive touchpad. Really like - touch screen, RAM, 512GB SSD, and Intel i7 (7th Gen) processor. New and up to date is always fun.
