Very Worried
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the laptop about a week ago. Very pleased with the unit for the first 6 days. BUT now, the fan continuously runs and the base of the laptop is so warm that you can not leave it on your lap and this is without the unit being plugged in. This happened after a software update from Dell. Called Dell support about this issue with no help. Very Concerned.

Internet connection sucks

I have only had the computer for a few months, everything seemed to be going smoothly and suddenly I can't seem to maintain an internet connection. I have spent hours on the phone with Dell support and they can't find anything wrong with the computer and tell me that I just need to be in the same room as the router. What???? I bought a lap top because I need the freedom to work remotely - I can't always be in the same room as the router. I did an update and it was since then that it hasn't worked properly. I can't seem to find any info on the warranty and can't figure out my next best step but I have already lost 3 business days dealing with this. I am self-employed - I can't afford that kind of loss with a brand new computer. Their last recommendation was saving all my data and re-setting the computer. I expect that will take another several hours and then several hours putting everything back. There must be a simpler solution and I need it now.

Fan problem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's a laptop with great specs and a good price but the when the fan starts when the laptop has to do more intense processing it makes an awful noise. I consider this unacceptable so will return the product. Hopefully best buy will accept to replace the product.

Loud fan and Poor battery performance.

Worst experience with Dell computer, I won't recommend to anyone Dell - Inspiron series.

The third time I talked to tech support they suggested a fresh install of the operating system. Ths is when I exchanged it for the same model. The second time I talked to tech support for the fresh computer he couldn't even open my control panel as he tried to troubleshoot remotely. It just wouldn't open. Returned for an ASUS. Dell sucks.
