    There was no get started book. It's been 13 years since I bought a new computer and starting out with a new one with no instructions, will I was about to pull my hair out. I have a few things to do yet on it but the computer is nice for what I need it for.

    Having trouble with touch screen

    Seems like a nice machine. Have to make appointment with gee squad. Having trouble with sensitivity on the screen and curser keeps disappearing

      Dear Karen, If you are continuing to experience problems with the cursor and the touch screen on your new 2-in-1 please consider that some Notebooks and Tablets with Keyboards have added gesture features to the touchpad hardware and drivers. A few of these features are two or three finger scrolling, pinch zoom, circle zoom, rotate and swiping. These new features may be the reason for the erratic cursor movement since most are turned on by default. You can disable or modify the way the features work in the touchpad driver properties. Here are some tips to modify these settings: 1. In the Search box, type main.cpl. 2. Touch or click main.cpl in the list of programs. 3. Touch or click the Dell Touchpad tab. 4. Touch or click on the picture of the touchpad. 5. Touch or click Gestures (depending on your computer there may not be a Gestures option). 6. Change the options as preferred. 7. Touch or click Save. 8. Touch or click the X in the upper-right corner to close the Dell Touchpad Utility. 9. Touch or click OK on the Mouse Properties window. 10. When the touchpad still does not work after following the preceding steps, refer to Dell Knowledge Base article - http://dell.to/2iaiujA.     I purchased it as a open box item but facing couple of issues like desktop icons vanished from screen automatically. Automatically opens few windows automatically. I won't recommend to anyone specially open box items.

    Very disappointed in the speed of this laptop. Gets very hot on the bottom after prolonged use. I had to return this computer.

      1. Run the Windows Audio Troubleshooter which is found in this Microsoft Knowledge Base article Fix sound problems - http://bit.ly/2f1h4r7.
      2. If the issue persists follow these steps:
      (instructions for each step are detailed in the Microsoft Fix sound problems article by selecting the topic headers from the drop-down menu)
      Use Device Manager to update or reinstall the audio driver (Article section - Check Device Manager)
      Make sure the correct audio device is set as the default (Article section - Set default device)
      Turn off Audio Enhancements (Article section - Turn off audio Enhancements)
      Try another audio format (Article section - Try different audio formats)

    Stopped charging after only 2 years. Known issue with Dell laptops. Not the charger, not the battery but something internal

    This was my worst experience ever with a Dell laptop. In little more than a year the computer began to have a problem with the separation of top part of the screen. I was told this was a "hinge" issue and common to this kind of computer. I could get no help from the people at Best Buy or from Dell. I will never purchase another of their laptops.

    I did plenty of research on laptops before buying this machine. It really came down a couple features and price. If you're looking for similar features, this laptop will make you happy. Features I was looking for in a laptop Solid state drive - at least 256GB 8+ GB memory Touchscreen with windows ink capabilities Latest i7 processor This laptop was 200 dollars off when I purchased, plus I received an additional 125 dollars off from a student discount. The machine has 512 GB of storage, 12 gigs of ram, and the latest i7 processor. It checked all the boxes I wanted and it was on sale (during tax free weekend too) I love the speed at boot. Windows 10 is great if you're on the fence. Sound is nice. Monitor looks great. A pleasant machine. Would I buy at full price (1000+)? Probably not. You could find something with similar if not better features on sale for the price or better. Check the weekly ads. If this machine checks the boxes you want in a laptop, and the laptop goes on sale, you'll be happy with your purchase.

    This laptop has a beautiful design and is extremely fast, however it has some downsides. When you are doing some intense activities, the laptop overheats quickly and the fan makes uncomfortable/loud noises like if the laptop wasn't even new. Battery is decent depending on how you use the laptop, it last for 6 hours at the most, but if you are gaming or doing some intense activities it will last for about 2 hours. Speakers are not the greatest if you want to buy this laptop for listening to music, but this issue can be fixed by buying a high quality sound speaker separately. I really wanted to like this laptop, but I wasn't able to due to these issues and unfortunately I had to return it.

    Good unit but missed it in some areas

    Quickly... Fast and handles multiple things running at once. SSD is going to be a nice addition. But no number pad, very tinny sounding speakers, and no home/end button that you can use WITHOUT the FN key. No Ethernet port. For $1,000 I thought it would have a little bit better quality touch. Overall, it's good, but missing a few simple ingredients.

    I purchased this laptop on Aug 9 and on Aug 26 it has to be shipped to Dell. The operating system crashed and cannot be fixed. My old Dell lasted 10 years and this one lasted 2 weeks. I do no recommend this computer at all

    I bought this laptop in July 2017 and it has never worked. I am sending it back to the factory for the 3rd time. It has cost me more money in gas money etc than it is worth. IDO NOT recommend this to anyone

    Operating system crashed at 2+ weeks, just a few days after computer could be returned to Best Buy. Shipping back to Dell. I was told it was too late to add protection thru Best Buy. Now it is just a door stop

    The laptop its self was okay except the first one they gave me had no battery inside the second one the speakers were shot and mad at how terrible these ppl are and there laptop could have been perfect but its all bull here. Never getting this again
