Outdated Laptop

Totally blew this laptop away. Horrible sound. Noisy fans. Worse battery life. Good point is that day to day normal users wont notice any difference. But if you are a professional person, avoid 7th generation i7 at all costs.

Posted .Khush, Thanks for your honest review and for your Dell laptop purchase. Here are some tips to help increase the battery life of your device:
Change the Power Plan:
1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
2. On the options list, click Power Options.
3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.
1) Click on the Action Center icon within the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
2) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
3) Turn Battery Saver On or Off.
4) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
5) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
6) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.

Though not rated as a business laptop, it has been performing flawlessly. I also like the added bonus of being able to flip the keyboard around and use it as a tablet for non-tax work.

It is easy to operate, I can navigate with ease and it accomplishes our needs all the while being equipped with all the latest Technology available to me.

I was able to restart the computer after a Windows update in less than 30 seconds. The video card is mid level so I wouldn’t recommend it for gaming.

I researched this and heard that from other buyers. If you elevate the laptop then it allows for better circulation. It's been about six years since I've had a new laptop and a lot of changes for the better.

The computer boots up quickly and handles gaming pretty well. I thought the location of the power button was going to be an issue but I have yet to have a problem with it. Only thing I don't like is the number of USB ports.

It has amazing features including the touch screen and tablet transformation.
