Not what I expected
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was expecting great things from Dell and I'm sure they have good products! This Particular Laptop so far is a disappointment. During first set up (power on) it took quite some time and near the end went right into a bios update, I have run into some quirky driver issues once I was in windows. I also Noticed when I tried to set up Cortana, she could not hear me. I researched the LT specs and appears to have a mic in the lid like most LT's Do, but found not working. I checked Device Manager and related drivers appear ok. I ran Dells built in diagnostics, all passed ok, my suspicion is the Mic or cable connection or maybe doesn't actually have a mic? Not sure cause spec description is somewhat vague. This Laptop physically is the same size as another non-dell laptop that I own and this keyboard does not include a 10 key pad which I have become quite accustomed to using especially when performing financial calculations. I have not loaded any software yet due to I will be doing a factory reset in hopes that things will work better. In the meantime, the laptop continues to have a very slow boot up time which is surprising, considering the 512 SSD and I7 Processor. On the plus side, astatically has a great look and feel. The back lit keyboard is easy and quiet. The sign in finger sensor works well. The screen resolution is good and has settings like a HDTV for various themes such as movie or sports and such. The speakers are on the bottom front and curve up slightly on the sides and still sound good even on a flat surface. There are also various sound choices. Charge up time is pretty quick and I have seen approximately 6.5 hours on a charge depending on type of use. Includes 2 usb ports, 1 usb c port, HDMI, SD Slot, headphone/Mic combo jack. At this time, I cannot recommend this particular model. I will update this post if these issues are resolved.

If you are having connectivity issues we'd suggest that you try the following:
1. Download and install the latest Wireless Card driver. (https://dell.to/2th3Tpe) After updating the driver, re-establish the connection with the Wireless Access Point and check the wireless performance.
2. If the issue persists, proceed to step 3.
3. Power-cycle the local network. Shut down the Dell system, the Wireless Access Point/Router and the Modem. Wait a minimum of 60 seconds before powering up the components in the following order:
4. Power ON the Modem, and wait for it to boot fully.
5. Power ON the Wireless Access Point/Router, and wait for it to boot fully.
6. Power ON the Dell system.
7. Open Network and Sharing Center
8. In the left side navigation pane, click on Change Adapter Settings
9. Right click on the wireless connection icon and select Properties followed by the Configure button
10. Under Wireless Options, select the Wireless N mode
11. For Windows 8 or later systems click the Advanced tab and look for 802.11n Mode on the right you will be given the option to Enable or Disable. If the mode is not visible you may need to update your drivers and firmware.
12. From the drop-down menu, choose Disable followed by Ok
13. This should restore the wireless download and upload speed. Internet speed can be tested at http://speedtest.net.

Great Value For The Price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1080p touchscreen, Intel Core i7, 8 GB Memory, 256 GB Solid State drive - those are outstanding features for the price point of this computer. It boots quickly, the touchscreen is sharp and responsive, and the response time is excellent. The fingerprint button is combined with the power button and is placed conveniently next to the keyboard and works better than a competitors button placed on the side edge. One thing I would have liked is a number keypad which it doesn't have. The sound quality is very nice. Overall this is an excellent product and my past experience with Dell is that they provide excellent tech support should you ever need it.

i7+512ssd+8gb ram+ 1080p ips=
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing! This 2in1 Dell laptop is very well balanced with all the specs. Beautiful design! You have an i7 quad core cpu (1.9 to 4.6) with a 512GB SSD. Yes 8gb is standard nowadays but it’s plenty. I will be upgrading to 16gb soon though. Load times are amazing. Boot times as well. I myself don’t do video editing or heavy gaming on this. But I did run a pass mark test and it came out with a 3308.5 score. This 2 in 1 doesn’t have a dedicated gpu. The built in gpu is actually pretty solid for mild gaming. Web pages load quickly, videos playback is smooth on the 1080p IPS screen. Great contrast and viewing angles. The screen doesn’t get as bright as I would have liked. But not the end of the world. Sharp picture for sure. Now to the not so bad/great parts of this otherwise great laptop. Room for improvement. 1st. While flipped back into tablet mode, the screen doesn’t sit 100% flush while upright but does when laid down flat. The webcam while many people don’t use. Some do to skype family won’t love the 720p 30 FPS resolution. Lastly the speakers are loud enough I feel they could have been amped up a tad bit. Other than those minor personal issues, I feel like this is by far one of the best laptops I’ve owned. Well worth the price. Good luck and I hope this helps!

Posted .Edwin,
Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your Dell laptop is not working the way that it should. One thing you'll want to do is make sure that it is properly charged. If your computer is charged you can follow these step to try to start it:
1. If the computer is displaying the Dell logo and does not move past that point, it has probably failed POST.
2. If the power indicator lights up and it is amber or orange, this is usually an indicator that it has failed POST.
3. If you see text on a black screen, the computer is currently performing the POST. If the computer stays in that condition and does not move past it, it has probably failed POST.
4. If the video screen displayed anything at all during the startup process but is now black, this probably indicates that the computer failed POST.
5. If the computer is beeping or if Caps/Num/Scroll Locks are flashing, note if there is a particular pattern in which it beeps or flashes.
6. If the computer is not beeping and caps/num/scroll locks are not flashing, unplug all connections and remove all media communication devices (e.g. external monitors); reconnect one at a time and check if the computer functions.
7. For a notebook, press and hold the Fn key and then press the power button. This starts the pre-boot testing and will launch ePSA. In case you have a Desktop at the Dell logo screen tap the F12 key to enter One Time Boot Menu and use the arrow keys to highlight Diagnostics and press enter.

Great all around laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I was very satisfied with this computer. The processing speed of the computer is quite fast. One noteworthy feature is the lack of a side panel number pad. The touchscreen is a nice feature, however it is not one that I use very often. This feature also allows for tablet mode. This is a mode that is not useful for me, but it may be for some people. In addition, the fingerprint scanner login is nice, it allows for easy login. The boot time (first startup) and load times for applications are very quick, I have no complaints there. The stream time for things like Netflix are also exceptional. The screen has a wide viewing angle, making for ease of viewing from many angles. The different levels of brightness allows for viewing the screen in various different lightings. The speakers do not have the best sound quality in the world but they serve their basic purpose.
