A Very Capable Work Machine
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I chose this laptop for work and my initial concern was that it wouldn't be powerful enough to run large spreadsheets and stream big meetings. Fortunately, the laptop is more than capable so far and I am pleased with its performance. Despite not having a separate graphics card or much memory, the laptop is able to handle all of my work related needs and feels light and fast. Here are the pros and cons for me: Pros: - Feels fast and powerful - 16:10 screen is bright and has a touchscreen - Has built in webcam for work calls - Is able to handle using Citrix system for work - I like the USB-C (Thunderbolt 4.0) ports for charging - Wifi 6 is fast - I like the privacy screen for the webcam Cons: - Doesn't have a number pad for Excel - The webcam does not have an adjustable zoom and my face appears reddish on the camera - It is not capable of playing graphic intensive games - Only one HDMI output and no Display Ports I like that the laptop is thin, simple, and adequate. The performance and convenience of the laptop has been great and I would recommend this for others looking for similar needs.

I was in a hurry to replace my laptop that accidentally got broken, and I had a deadline to meet. I could have bought nearly ANY laptop other than this one and gotten a better deal. Sorry sorry sorry.

After some research, this is what we ended up with. We bought it July 17 to get everything setup & ready for the big first day. The first day of school is august 29, just about 6 weeks from when we bought it. Well, 8/27 me daughter calls that her 6 week old computer won't turn on. She chats with Dell, they tell her to take it back to best buy. She calls me @ 6 pm on Friday with classes starting Monday morning. Keep in mind, she's an 18 year old girl in the dorm in the city, no car & I'm over an hour away. Best buy has been my "go to" store for all my electronics for YEARS. I decided to stop @ the one I bought the laptop from, just to talk thru how we were going to get this resolved. Cole told me that Best Buy's return policy is 15 days, so i was out of luck with them, but they would send it back to dell for repairs, with no real idea on how long it might take. My daughter got back on the chat with Dell & they sent her an email on how to take the back off & disconnect the battery etc. Well, girl, dorm, no computer tool kit & first say of class 2 days away. Off we go for an hour drive, I follow the instructions & no luck. So we call tech support (I'm sure in india) and were told they would order a motherboard & a tech would call us in 3-5 business days to schedule the repairs. So, now we wait. Terribly dissapointed in best buy & even more disappointed in dell, no solutions to what i consider a pretty serious problem on a computer that has MAYBE 10 hours of use.
