Has Been a Great experience so far
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am pleasantly surprised. Usually I always use PC’s with I7 Intel processors due to the demanding programs I use. I have to say This machine is holding its own. Here is what I like: The Laptop deck has a very nice smooth feel, all feels like smooth glass. The combination of grey keys with 2 backlit levels is a very nice touch Strategically placed rubber feet for support The 16” screen is something that I missed and is the perfect size for me. Screen colors are perfect. Love the graphics. The combination of the 12th Gen 10 core 1235u I5 processor, AX211 WiFi card, NVMe ssd and Intel Iris Xe Graphics make for a perfect combination for basic computing and multitasking. The Quad speakers are a big plus. Great sound and volume with Waves MaxxAudio Pro. Battery Life: So far I am going on 4 hours with the first charge and still shows 52%. Playing Videos and tasking, updating and installing programs. Like that it has two 4.0 thunderbolt ports and two USB 3.2 A ports. Also has HDMI and full size SD. My investigation for potential led me to believe upgrade to 32gb Ram is possible. I think you get the idea. You can read more on the BestBuy site. A little patience is needed when first setting up. The PC at first will seem like a doggy experience Only because many updates will take place including a bios update. Once you get beyond that, You will happily notice the speed especially if your connecting to a wifi 6 network. If there is anything at all that I don’t like, it would be how the SD card only goes in half way, no lock into place. Also had a bit of a problem with the fingerprint reader and Dell does have a update for that. All in All, This is a winner for me as I have found myself gravitating to this machine just out of the Intrigue of how well it has been working so far. I have actually enjoyed this user experience.

Excellent 2 in 1 laptop with a few downsides
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dell - Inspiron 2-in-1 16” FHD+ Touch Laptop – 12th Gen Intel Core i5 – 8GB Memory – 512GB SSD - Platinum Silver SD Card reader USB Type A Headphone Jack HDMI USB A USB C USB C Battery charging indicator Pros: 1. Slim design 2-in-1 design makes it a great Mid range laptop. The hinge is really great and it is easy to fold it 360 degrees without any issues. 2. Right number of ports - 1 HDMI, 2 USB A, 2 USB C Thunderbolt 4.0, Headphone jack and SD Card Reader finds the right balance and suits my need as my other Dell laptop that i bought last year did not have the USB A or HDMI ports or the Memory card . Though there was a converter it was required to carry it whenever on the move. But this laptop has all the necessary ports. 3. Big 16" screen is my favorite. The screen resolution is 1920 x 1200 WUXGA which provides crystal clear view and its so nice and colorful. 4. Backlit keyboard is one of the features i love with this laptop. In the darkness it is really helpful to use the keyboard and there is not much of light from the sides which prevents the glare that i have had with my older laptops. 5. Fingerprint reader on the power button is really a great feature. Also the initial setup for very easy easy. Also once the setup was completed i was able to login to the computer everytime in the first attempt. I love this feature. 6. The integrated quad speakers on the sides is really good. The sound was clear and i did not find any issues. Since the speakers are on the top it will be easy to hear clear sounds when compared to the other laptops which has the speakers on the bottom. This is another feature that Dell has done really well. 7. Webcam - Privacy shutter is really cool feature. Nowadays most of the mid range laptop has this feature. 8. Charging is really fast and also the charge lasts for really long. I did not get a chance to test the discharge and recharge of the laptop but i believe it should work pretty well as I have not had any issues with the battery life on my other Dell laptops. 9. Wifi 6 support is something which is an added advantage as long as the router that you have supports wifi 6 speeds which is usually 150+ Mbps speed. This is really helpful when watching movies as we don't get to see the buffering. Cons: 1. Even though the laptop comes with the 512 GB SSD hard drive, the laptop is a bit heavy. It weighs about 2.1 Kg or 4.62 lb. I understand that this is because of the 16" screen. Since the laptop is slim one would think that it will weigh less but that's not the case. Wish the laptop weighed little less than 4 lb. 2. Despite being a 16" laptop, the numeric keypad is not present as the integrated speakers are on the both the sides. 3. Intel Iris Xe Graphics graphics card is not that powerful. It could have been better considering the price of the laptop. 4. It would have been nice if Dell provided 16 GB RAM instead of 8 GB but it should be sufficient for day to day tasks.

Great Laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very professional looking laptop with its aluminum polished design. It is a bit on the heavy side, but that nit pick is where my complaints end. It boots up quickly because of its solid state hard drive and Windows log in is a breeze with its fingerprint button security. Once you get booted up the bright bold 16" display really pops. Its got 8GB of Ram and a 512GB hard drive which are plenty for me using the web and e-mail since I'm keeping most of my working word, excel and picture files on the web with my OneDrive storage through Windows. I have fast internet in my home and this laptop utilizes it very well, popping open web pages like I'm changing a channel on my tv. The keyboard is backlit to add some style and its very responsive and pleasing to type on. The touch screen is also very well done and comes in handy with the 360 degree hinge to make it into a large tablet with a pop up on screen keyboard. Battery performance is also more than adequate. I use the laptop for browsing, email, and personal finances for 2-3 hours a day and never drain the battery down even with the brightest of display settings. I plug the laptop in most nights so its fresh for the next day but even if I forget, I've got enough power to run it for another day's worth of 2-3 hours of work. Overall this is a great everyday laptop at a great price point with all of Dell's great quality. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something to browse the web and do day to day activities as I have described.

A solid mid-range laptop with lots of features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 16" FHD+ Touch Laptop is a solid, mid-range Windows 11 computer for home, family, hobby, and light-to-medium business use. It has a mid-range 8GB RAM and a mid-range Intel i5 processor. Though this is a 16" laptop, it is light enough to carry easily. It provides two USB-C "Thunderbolt" ports, two USB 2.0/3.0 ports for legacy accessories, and one HDMI port for an external monitor, plus one XD memory card slot for digital camera enthusiasts and one headphones port. The web cam shutter is a nice privacy feature that allows you to cover the web cam when not in use. The bright, crisp touch screen folds back so you can use it as a tablet and use the screen for presentations. Pros: • Excellent fit and finish • Large speakers • Crisp and clear touch screen display • Web cam shutter • Large, full-size keyboard • Large track pad • Fingerprint ID on power key • Small power brick Cons: • People with small hands may find the keyboard hard to reach. You may find an external keyboard more comfortable for everyday use. • Limited number and type of ports. You may need a USB-C expansion hub to make more ports available for external monitors and keyboards, mice, drawing tablets, and other peripherals. I recommend this product for home, family, hobby, and small business use if you: • do not need heavy computing power, • do not need lots of memory to run several high-powered apps at once, or • do not need a specialized graphics card. If you need a bit more memory, processing power, and graphics card, consider the Dell 16" with upgrades to each of the above.

Another great system from Dell for an all in one
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned a few Dell systems in the past and they are always reliable and 100% consistent and this system is no different. I was a bit surprised to see the price drop a bit for this system since it is everything you need with the latest updated processor chips, speeds and storage plus a wide 16" screen which is foldable and easily turns into a touchscreen tablet which I dont plan on using it for. The system is seamless and is loaded with Windows 11 and a very smooth, fast i5 Processor which is plenty adequate for business or personal use. The graphics card and screen pixels are decent and this actually was better than the Microsoft Surface 4 Laptop I was previously using. For the new price, this is the best all in one you can probably buy right now. The keyboard makes it easy to type on and it is also easy to use the surface mouse and the battery power is also decent for this size of laptop. I added an external keyboard and mouse and they connected seamlessly and without any issues.

Inspiring Inspiron Music Machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My fiancé’s hard drive crashed without a recent backup. On it was all her music for an upcoming concert. Yea it took two weeks to recover old software, songs and tracks and burn cd’s, but the combination of the laptop, external cd/dvd drive and multi USB3 port allowed us to rebuild her music environment almost from scratch. The emotional relief was fantastic when the final concert set list was established just days before the event. All in all the the HW and SW worked seamlessly together to pull this off.

Great performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honostly, it is a great laptop. However, for the price, I would've liked to have had 16gb ram and not 8. It comes with two sticks of 4gb. Must buy a pair of 8gb now.

Early hinge and screen failure
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Broken hinge and cracked screen. Junk. Has been operating fine up until now. Looking online I see this is a common problem. It would be good to have had Dell alert their customer base about a possible way to prevent this from happening.
