Best Buy and Dell: CHOICES I DO NOT REGRET

Oh man, I don’t even know where to begin… I needed a new laptop badly and decided to give this one a try.I decided Best Buy was the way to go, and I wasn’t wrong because they gave me the best customer service possible! Any questions I had, or any concerns were looked into, anything that confused me was broken down to me, and the response time was exceptional! As long as it was within their hours of operation, you had a perfect tech opportunity. Dell hasn’t let me down before, so let’s go for this interesting upgrade, right? Honestly I did question whether or not it’d be easier to break since it had this cool tablet display and you could freely bend it back and forth, and I didn’t appreciate the lack of a number pad, but I realized the majority of new laptops in any brand no longer have those… I fell in love with this laptop, the touch screen response is impeccable, and I don’t think I made the wrong decision at all. Thank you Dell, and thank you Best Buy!

Most budget premium laptop. Touchscreen, 4k resolution, 2 in 1, 16 inch gaming laptop. Laptops with similar hard and software go for $2100 minimum. I consider this laptop a steal. Absolutely destroys all its competitors in the 2 in 1 space that can game, yet be used for high editing performance with high resolution. If know don't know what you want specifically in a Laptop, get this one and you are covered in all areas you might want, especially on a budget

Needed a laptop for photo editing and this fit the bill. Specs are pretty good and even has a dedicated graphics card. Not the lightest computer but not bad either. You would pay more for an XPS but pretty much the same performance with this one at a lower cost. So far so good.

This is not a perfect laptop, but it is excellent for the price. The OLED screen is beautiful, the stylus writes notes accurately and it runs smoothly. My only complaint is for every premium feature it has, it should at least have a mid-tier GPU to play basic games without any lag, but I guess this is where you are saving money. The battery life is also just average, not great with heavy use. I use this for work and for school - the intel i7 is fast enough for writing code in a VM and I've had no issues with it. Overall - excellent laptop with premium features and average battery life. Highly recommend!

Overall a really solid product. It's got decent RAM and storage for a laptop, and the Nvidia graphics card helps with making games look good. Good battery life and touch screen too.

I like the laptop, it seems rugged and well-made. My only complaint is the small hard drive and that the largest drive you can install is 2TB. If you don't need a lot of space, this computer is quick, slim, and reasonably light.

I believe I bought a great computer. The sales person was very knowledgeable once.I found one.The only problem is I need to detaut more information on how to use this computer. I'm hoping there's some sort of class but wasn't offered anything.Had any problems and stolen software which took hours to get it taken.Care of still not sure if everything is installed. I've been to Best Buy several times and noticed that the sales people don't seem to care.If they sell anything they group together, talk laugh and ignore people who walk through the store. The person that helped us was walking by when we stop them to get help.At that point they were very knowledgeable.

Beast of a Machine — Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 D

This Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 16” OLED Touch Screen Laptop is an absolute beast. With the 13th Gen Evo i7, 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD, this thing chews through heavy tasks without breaking a sweat. The NVIDIA GeForce MX550 adds muscle for graphics work and gaming — no lag, no stutter, just raw performance.
The OLED display? Pure eye candy. Deep blacks, rich colors — it makes movies, work, and games look sharp and intense. The 2-in-1 flip design feels tough and smooth, perfect for when I need versatility without sacrificing power. And the Dark River Blue finish gives it that bold, masculine edge.
Best Buy hooked me up with top-notch service, and I’m pumped to leave this review — not just to share the win, but also for a shot at their $400 gift card giveaway (check the rules — every review counts).
If you want a machine that handles business and pleasure with serious muscle, this is it.

Let me start with the excellent part. The display is as sharp as you would expect a 4k display to be. Could maybe be a bit brighter for the price but 400 NITS is acceptable. Love the 16:10 aspect ratio as I am really tired of the wide screen format. The 16" display although taller still gives plenty of room to work but I can see where the wide screen would be good for spreadsheets. Did not try to play any games because I did not buy the laptop for that purpose. Another great feature is the battery. While typing this the laptop reports 40% battery remaining which it says equates to 3 hours and 54 minutes. I consider this very good for a laptop that I have turned up to full brightness. I believe that at 100% battery it reported close to 10 hours of run time. Charging time is very fast as well. Next subject, heat. As mentioned, I have not tried to play any games but surfing the web, playing music and watching movies has not increased the heat to anything that is noticeable. Also have not heard any fans kick on. The sound is also quite good. The laptop has some bass and even noticed the laptop vibrate a little while playing rock music which I thought was rather impressive. In my opinion no laptop sounds as good as the high end Macbooks such as the 16" or 14" pro models. Still, it has a decent thump but maybe lacks some of the clarity of the Macbook. One of the reasons I purchased the laptop was the color. Although there are no fancy emblems on the lid or nice trim the deep river blue is a nice color change and amazingly does not show fingerprints as much as you might expect.
Now for the reason it did not get 5 stars. The keyboard. For a laptop that lists for a full price of 1500, the keyboard really feels cheap. I am an IT professional so I type most of the day and noticed two things about this keyboard. One, the keys feel rather cheap and do not have a good press. I noticed that some commented that they liked the extra room on the keyboard because of the lack of a numpad but I constantly find myself having to readjust my hand location due to what seems like extra room between the keys. I don't feel this separation when I type on a Macbook or when typing on a standard desktop keyboard at work. Secondly, I also noticed that while most of the keys show light bleed under the front of the keys, some have this issue and some do not which reiterates my thoughts on the cheaply made keyboard. I have a couple low end Chromebooks and the keyboards still feel better on those than on this laptop. I know I could attach another keyboard but feel that if I need to do that then I should just buy a desktop pc. I have worked on Dell servers for years which are extremely reliable and feel that Dell should not have cut corners on the keyboard. The rest of the laptop is premium so why cut expenses on the part that you use the most. The trackpad seemed to work very well but lacked that glassy feel of some premium laptops. Another reviewer mentioned that the keyboard surface around the keys seemed unusually flexible which I agree with. The rest of the laptop is metal and feels very solid including the hinges. I purchased this for 500 dollars off so I feel like I got a steal when compared to other laptops with the same features. I would still highly recommend this laptop even though the keyboard seems subpar. The keyboard is something you can get used to if you use the laptop on a daily basis. One additional comment, startup time seems a little slow but then that is probably the price you pay for long battery life. Once logged in, the performance seems quite good. Hope this information is helpful.

I purchased the Dell Inspiron 16.0" 2-in-1 OLED Touch Laptop from Best Buy about a year ago, and it continues to impress me with its flawless performance and versatility.
Performance
Powered by the 13th Gen Intel Evo i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce MX550, this laptop handles everything I throw at it—whether it's multitasking between productivity apps, video editing, or gaming. The performance is buttery smooth with no signs of lag, even after a year of heavy use.
Display and Design
The 16.0" OLED touch display is breathtaking, offering vivid colors and deep contrasts, perfect for streaming, editing photos, or simply working. The 2-in-1 design and included stylus make it a creative powerhouse, ideal for taking notes, sketching, or designing on the go. The Dark River Blue finish is sleek and professional, and the build quality feels premium and durable.
Storage
With a 1TB SSD, I never worry about running out of space. The storage is lightning-fast, making boot times and file transfers incredibly quick.
Battery Life
The battery life has been impressive, lasting me through a full workday with ease. Even after a year, I notice very little degradation in battery performance.
Verdict
This laptop has been a reliable companion, effortlessly meeting all my personal and professional needs. I highly recommend the Dell Inspiron 16.0" 2-in-1 OLED Touch Laptop to anyone looking for a powerful, stylish, and versatile device. It’s worth every penny and continues to perform like new!
