Wonderful so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned a lot of laptops but this is by far the best--assuming it keeps working as well as it has so far. Love the big bright screen and the lighted keyboard (a first for me), and the case seems far stronger than some of the other brands I looked at. Expensive but worth it--but surprised it had only 2 USB ports.

Wow!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this laptop! Touch screen is very responsive and it's super fast to process. I use it for my music software and itits more than enough. My only wish was there were more usb ports, so I definitely recommend a hub and you're good.

Big but powerful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of several computers that I currently own. I am very happy with its performance. I was surprised to find such a highly competent and reliable unit for the very reasonable price I paid. Due to its size it stays at home when I travel but at home it's my go to computer.

Fantastic screen and specs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't seen a screen this good looking for a while. This one outshines and is more vivid and colorful than my gaming laptop. The touch screen is wonderfully accurate as well, even without a pen. It has a superb processor and enough ram to handle running many things without even getting close to maxing out the main components, all save for the hard drive. The hard drive is a run of the mill drive and is the computers biggest downside. While first running the computer and if using an intensive program like photoshop the disk is just constantly running at max capacity. Luckily the hard drive can be replaced with an SSD and that problem will be gone. The graphics are decent enough that if you want to you can play non graphically intense games on low settings, so it can get by. Definitely not a computer for gaming, but it can function at least on most games. For anyone looking for a good photo or video computer this one is perfect.

Great machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was at first skeptical about getting this laptop. I was set on a MacBook, but I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with this Dell’s performance. It’s fast, sleek and I love the large screen and the storage is phenomenal.

Great computer if you don't type and use touchpad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wonderful computer loved everything about it.....EXCEPT the touchpad. No matter what was done to correct it, the cursor would jump while typing on the internet and type over something previously typed. It would also randomly open tabs. Dell techs installed TouchFreeze which did nothing to help. The thing was lightening fast (I had an SSD installed by Geek Squad who did a super job setting up my laptop. I even swapped for a new one with the same result. Very disappointed in Dell. Had to swap for another manufacturer which worked perfectly with NO jumping. Kudos to Best Buy Geek Squad great customer service!

Great 2-in-1 for mechanical engineer on field.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use it for AutoCAD, eDrawings and Photoshop amongst other heavy software like Virtual Machines, Dreamweaver, etc. Great so far. Typically traveling around the world into industrial environment - some dust around and carrying it in just a regular backpack. The fact you can flip the screen is very useful. I need 17" screen as I review 11x17" drawings with contractors, super cool image. I miss the ethernet port but I got a USB adapter. I don't miss the fingerprint scanner from my previous HP one. Face recognition for log in is very useful and intuitive. One of the best features is the battery conservation utility from Dell, you can set a min and a max % where you can keep the device plugged and won't charge if within the range, so you won't worry about remembering unplugging it to preserve the battery life. Just nice! GET IT!

Decent computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I like the computer. It lags a little when the computer initially boots up, but I consider that to be fairly normal. One down side, the computer gets VERY hot while being used and there is no internal cooking fan/system. The computer heats up so much that I HAVE to use an external fan to keep it cool, otherwise I am fearful that the consistent heat from using the unit will inevitably damage the hardware/computer after regular use. Aside from the heat issue, and minor lag, the computer functions nicely and is easy to use. It is a larger laptop with a nice 17 inch touchscreen, but it is a little on the hefty side in regards to the weight of the unit. Overall, It is a decent computer.

Great Dell laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I am very happy with this Dell Inspiron laptop. I'm a realtor so I needed something fast and multi-functional. The 2 - 1 feature really makes open houses and presentations more professional. After 6+ months of heavy use it seems to handle the constant back and forth between tablet & laptop modes. It handles all my software for video/picture editing with ease. More than enough space for all the real estate archives. I have had one major issue; not with the laptop but with the Windows OS installed. The first 16 hours of ownership the laptop was virtually useless. After spending the time with Microsoft customer service the problem was resolved. One issue that still remains is the facial recognition not functioning properly. With all things considered I find this to be a wise purchase and can give my recommendation.

Dell Inspiron 17 7000 Series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Crisp, clear, 17.3" display. Fast setup. Good set of features in a flexible, multi-mode, lightweight yet sturdy configuration. Excellent audio quality with the built-in Waves Maxx/Audio Pro internal speaker system. I knew it was lacking a built-in optical drive. Adding an external drive was necessary to complete setup for many of my applications. A couple more USB ports would also be helpful. I'll need a multi-port hub to complete my routine connections. I would also welcome BOTH an audio input port and a headphone/external speaker output port. The system does a good job guiding users through input / output options when a device is plugged into the port. Even with these limitations, I give this product an excellent rating consider the price, hard drive capacity (2T!) and comparisons with similar products from other brands.

Very good laptop in most aspects
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this computer for 2 months now and like it a lot. However, This unit should have solid state storage to perform to its highest potential. The hard drive while roomy (2T) it is the bottleneck. The screen somewhat grainy on solid while but very readable and color gamut is wide hence producing dazzling hues. The off/on button is tiny. The processing speed is well above average for the class but writing on the drive is somewhat slow. Fan is quite most of the time except during heavy processing but it really never gets that loud. Get one if are looking for a solid 17" full HD screen with 15MB ram.

Great All-Purpose Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop has been great. The battery life lasts about 3-5 hours of actual real world use. The memory is more than enough (I bought the 2TB). The Windows hello feature lets me open my laptop and just start doing my things without needing my password. The downside is that this Laptop is about 6.5 pounds and is a little heavy for tablet use but that didn’t stop me because is still useful. Overall this laptop is fast, efficient, and very easy to use. The price tag is a little higher for a laptop (I revived it at Best Buy for a little over $1,000) but that price is what you do get out of it.
