    Good Computer for Average Users

I purchased this computer for school work, email, social media, and to be able to work remotely from home if needed (more email, social media, and Word docs). I was surprised by how large the screen was and that there is literally only 1 cord needed (so it really is an all in one) - I hate cords running all over the place and dealing with zip-ties. The only issue I had was with the standard "cheap" keyboard and mouse. When I hooked up my own mouse and keyboard that used Bluetooth, the performance was a bit sluggish and the cursor kept skipping/jumping and I had to go back to using the keyboard/mouse that was included - they run on Logitech's wireless platform and I'm sure I can find a better compatible keyboard/mouse. I feel that this computer does a good job with performance and its slim "all-in-one" profile. I did notice that there are times where graphics and speed slowed down if you're running a hi-def video, but it's barely noticeable and a little expected since there isn't a separate graphics processor or dedicated memory. Overall, Dell did a good job and I'd recommend this computer for the average user who is looking for strong performance to do normal "computer" things. If you're looking for a computer to do video editing and other more advance tasks that are intense on graphics and rendering, I wouldn't recommend this one for you.

still in the early stages of this pc. had it for about 2-3 weeks. i bought this for my small business so im using a good many programs on it including accounting software, estimate programs etc. although im a total HP guy, this dell was the best one they had performance wise. i was told however the issue with these all in one pcs is the pixels tend to go out pretty quickly. so i did buy the 2 year geek squad plan and i can also renew after the 2 years is up. but over all the pc runs good. seems pretty fast. the keyboard is not the fanciest but seems really well built. the pc base is heavy and very well built! very happy with that so i know my cat wont knock this over and break the screen like my tv lol. it has lots of ports to plug in accessories. disk tray in the side is a little flimsy and i noticed the display in the store had a broken disk tray....thats a little concerning hense the geek squad plan!

No viruses, limited startup programs, but slow, especially when syncing (e.g., iTunes). My 2011 HP was faster than this 2016/7 model.

Despite the negative reviews, on June 1st I've purchased this AIO because I have a very good experience with Dell computers and because of this I've decided give them a vow of trust - no regrets so far. First off all, as usual, I updated all the drivers from dell.com as well from the Windows. This simple procedure avoids many of the related problems informed on the current reviews. Everything is working as expected: It's very fast (mine is Core i7), has a lot of space (1 TB) as well the number of ports; a big and clear screen, as well a CD/DVD drive.

Nice desktop without bunch of cables to hook up

My old desktop died so I need a new one. I was hesitate about getting a all-in-one but tired of bunch of cables so I gave this Dell all-in-one a try. The setup is very easy. The wi-fi is very fast. Touch screen is convenient when you don't want to use mouse to scroll up and down or wipe right and left. The sound quality of built-in speaker is flat and loud enough. For better quality of sound, I would suggest external speakers or bluetooth speaker. The wireless keyboad and mouse are good enough for general use. But I think Dell can improve the aesthetic design. Overall, it's a great buy.

Bought this PC as a replacement for my 8 year old Asus All-in-one. Glad I got the i7 in this Dell, big step up from the Pentium M in the Asus. Pros - Easy setup, good price, fast Cons - Touch screen on a desktop can be annoying. Disabled the touch screen in device manager.

Average performer for a Dell All in One

The system was painfully slow when I first got this. I almost returned it until I removed the McAfee anti virus program and replaced it with another. Looking to replace the hard drive with one that runs at 7200rpm or an SSD. The one installed only runs at 5400rpm. I may also max out the RAM memory to 16GB from the installed 12GB for more improvement. Not crazy about the fact that it doesn't come with a dedicated video card but I knew about this before purchase. Aside from all of this, I decided to keep it as it is servicing my needs for now but this is not the best that's out there. Looking to see what HP comes out with in July.

    SECOND ISSUE WITH HARD DRIVES

I bought a 2350, which is similar to this one. After about 8 months the screen started flipping off and on. Took it in, sent for repair, had bad hard drive. This is the second Dell I have owned that has had hardware issues BEFORE its even a year old! Not sure I will ever buy a Dell again. Sure they fixed it, but my bet the new drive will last about 8 months. And when they replaced it, they didn't even bother to reload Windows 10 operating system that it had. Reverted back to 8.1 and took FOREVER to get 10 to reload. Yes, I bought Geek Squad coverage, but was not impressed with the help I received in store. Finally gave up and took it home and did it myself. Wont buy Geek Squad coverage again either.

    Review update

I am still enjoying my all-in-one since my initial review, but I wanted to pass along some advice. I was having trouble connecting to the internet immediately after a Dell software update and decided to try Dell Support Assist (after trying the troubleshooting tools) first before I called support. Wow! Support Assist used online internet tools to fix the connection problem in 30 seconds. I was impressed. I think some of these reported problems could be screened and repaired using Dell's Support Assist Fix-it tools, so give it a try. Another reason to like this computer.

as much as I wanted to like a DELL this computer as other reviewers have noted has a noisy fan and because of a 5400 RPM hard drive is slow the keyboard and mouse are feel cheap which is disappointing when you spend about $800-900 on a computer

Great at first....needed new hard drive after 2 mo

I usually do not write reviews only read them. However this product has me so mad I need to let the world know. We purchased this computer on 11/20/2016 we did not get the protection plan which I completely regret now. But at first it worked great then there were little glitches, like slow response and would not completely power off. This is a family computer and used for basic necessities for school work. We do not download a bunch of stuff, we might have used it 15-20 times in 2 months and only installed printer and security to it. So I called dell support. They walked me thru the steps to restore it back to factory. After that the computer never came back to log on screen only flashes between black dell and blue your pc has a problem. Next step was to reinstall windows 10, which for some reason disks do not come with the computers, so my options were to purchase it or get another computer and a USB device and download windows 10. At this point steam was coming out of my ears. I spent $1000 to inconvenience myself and dump more $ into this product. But I did it. So last night dell tried walking me thru windows installation, guess what, didn't work! So now I have to send my computer to Texas ( because that is the only dell support in the US) and be without my computer for 10 more days. And dell warranty only covers the hardware for a year from purchase. What happens if this is a problem again and again! This is a complete nightmare. I am frustrated with dell because that is the name I see when sitting at my "broken" computer, Microsoft for making a windows product that is terrible, and Best Buy for not working with me to get my computer back to running order. Now the consumer has to be inconvenienced and without not the multi-millionaires. Best Buy should have replaced my computer then went to dell to recoup the $ lost. Hope you received useful information with this post! Good luck!

    Keeps freezing over and over

I bought this machine new yesterday. Got it home turned it on and installed the Internet virus protection they included for 3 years right away. It took a long time to go through the the set up then froze. I waited a while then had to shut the whole thing off to reboot. It took 10 minutes to reboot then after about another hour of just looking around at the stuff it has on it it froze again. I waited in hopes it would recover but no such luck. I called Geeksquad, 30 minute Waite time and hung up. Shut it down and left it off for an hr and had dinner. Turned it back on this time it took even longer to boot up. Went to my email and tried to get some work done. While I was in one of my companies website running reports it froze again. Same scenario got it back up and was frustrated so I actually thought I'd do something simple and played solitaire. Half way through the 2nd game it FROZE AGAIN. I lost my mind!!! I called Geeksquad again but this time waited and they "helped me" it took around 2 hrs for 2 different tecks to do their magic and I was told it should be fixed. They did updates removed stuff ran tests and thought I was all set. Restarted my computer and I took a few minutes to do some more work but was tired and thought I'd play solitaire again and in less than 10 mins it froze again. I paid over $1000 for this fancy frustrating paperweight less than 18hrs ago and now it looks like I'm going to have to return it and waste even more time. I'm very disappointed, not sure if this is a lemon but I was warned in the past not to buy a Dell
