It blue screened for 2 weeks. Took it back and exchanged it for another one that did the same. Worked with Dell for 4 weeks to get it fixed. Idiots sell a computer that doesn't work. Two in a row says something is wrong. Best Buy gave me a store credit and I now own an iMac 27" and is awesome. I'll never buy Dell again.

This PC had all the specs I was looking for in a computer. But the downside was the power supply block which did not allow me to power up unit. It did not deliver enough voltage for the PC therefore I cannot give you a fair rating with the exception of the power supply block is faulty.

This computer crashed every time I tried to do something on it. For example, trying to install Adobe, trying to install a printer. I continually had issues in the first few days. I even tried to restore the operating system. I took this computer back Day 4. I'm so disappointed in Dell.

      Hello MarcJ,

Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear that your computer is not powering up the way it should be. We'd recommend these steps to try to resolve this issue:

      1. If the computer is displaying the Dell logo and does not move past that point, it has probably failed POST.
      2. If the power indicator lights up and it is amber or orange, this is usually an indicator that it has failed POST.
      3. If you see text on a black screen, the computer is currently performing the POST. If the computer stays in that condition and does not move past it, it has probably failed POST.
      4. If the video screen displayed anything at all during the startup process but is now black, this probably indicates that the computer failed POST.
      5. If the computer is beeping or if Caps/Num/Scroll Locks are flashing, note if there is a particular pattern in which it beeps or flashes.
      6. If the computer is not beeping and caps/num/scroll locks are not flashing, unplug all connections and remove all media communication devices (e.g. external monitors); reconnect one at a time and check if the computer functions.
      7. For a notebook, press and hold the Fn key and then press the power button. This starts the pre-boot testing and will launch ePSA. In case you have a Desktop at the Dell logo screen tap the F12 key to enter One Time Boot Menu and use the arrow keys to highlight Diagnostics and press enter.

    Truly Nice Upgrade

Due to the fact that my older Dell (2305) AIO would NOT allow me to install Version 1709 of Windows 10, I had no choice but to upgrade. I could not be happier. This model (5488) works like a well tuned machine and is fully up to date. Screen even produces more color shades than my old one. It's fast and I have had no problems to date. I thank the staff at Best Buy for the help. First unit had a smashed screen and they easily replaced it with another. I could have easily gone with the newer Ryzen 5 or 7 Chip but this is just what I was looking for. Great staff, great computer. They even gave me the discounted price, which I had missed by one day. Thank you ALL!

    Decent computer for price

Just got new computer today. Setup was simple and fast. Took about three hours to transfer data from old computer to the new one. No major issues. Had a little problem with Cortena. It would start the beginning process on its own. Finally was able to "disable" process. The computer is fast for what I want, but probably would not be my first choice for gaming or video making. I was impressed with the Dell wireless mouse and keyboard. Both paired with computer instantly. Typing on the keyboard feels good, although the overall size of the keyboard is smaller than my old one. The mouse functions very well and I did not have to make any adjustments prior to use. There was a sore lack of documentation for the computer from Dell. All that was included was a sheet with drawings on it for the keyboard/mouse setup and a small pamphlet with minimal instruction on computer setup. Not a big deal for an experienced individual, but confusing for a novice. So far I am very satisfied with my purchase. Also kudos to Best Buy who agreed to match price on a similar computer from another computer store, which saved me over $300.00.

    Good Computer

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this AIO computer about a week ago. This computer had everything that I wanted but I was disappointed when it had a glossy screen. I've had bad experiences with eye fatigue and headaches with glossy screens. Also, a Best Buy employee told me that some customers are having Wi-Fi issues with this computer and that you may have to use an Ethernet cable to connect to the internet. I personally didn't experience Wi-Fi issues. Overall this is a good computer and it's super responsive. However, I have decided to exchange it for another computer. The only reason for the exchange is that this computer has a glossy screen. Pros: - Big Touch-Screen (23.8") - 7th Gen Intel Core i7 processor (Quad-Core) - 12GB RAM - 1 TB hard drive (7200 rpm) - Bluetooth - Webcam - Built-in wireless networking - 4-in-1 memory card reader - Wireless keyboard and mouse Cons: - Glossy screen - Wi-Fi issues?

    Good All-in-One But It's A Windows 8 Upgrade

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Takes FOREVER to get this device setup because it comes with Windows 8 and upgrades to Windows 10. (Seriously, when did these things come off the assembly line?! Two years ago, I guess.) Other than that, I like it a lot. I'd recommend the computer in general, but not to anyone who wants a quick setup. Expect several hours before productivity. I likely would not have chosen this model if I knew it had Windows 8 installed.

    Not a great experience

I purchased this computer for my office because I have the same computer with 27" monitor at home which I purchased three years ago and absolutely love. I had no doubt that I will love it but as soon as I turned on the computer and installed a few programs (the most current Microsoft Office and AUTOCAD), I was getting error messages on the screen says "This PC is having some errors and will shut down in 2 seconds". After that, I wan't able to turn it on again without crashing the computer. I went back to the store thinking I got a defective machine, so got the new replacement. But, as soon as I turned on the brand new replacement machine, I heard this very loud sound coming out from back of the computer where the vent is. I touch the vent and the hot air was coming out so I packed it up again and returned it even before running the machine. I am not sure what the problem is but am quite surprised. My expectation was high because I have the same computer which I LOVE. What a disappointment.
